โครงการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรทางทะเล ด้วยเล็งเห็นความสำคัญของในการฟื้นฟูระบบนิเวศป่าชายเลนและพื้นที่ชายฝั่งทะเล ที่มีต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของชาวนครศรีธรรมราช ในพื้นที่ตำบลปากพูน ซึ่งประกอบอาชีพประมงร้อยละ 80 ของประชากรทั้งหมด บริษัท เชฟรอนประเทศไทยสำรวจและผลิต จำกัด ได้สนับสนุนเทศบาลตำบลปากพูน ภายใต้ “โครงการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรทางทะเล” ซึ่งส่งเสริมทั้งในด้านการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรทางทะเล และด้านการสร้างจิตสำนึกและการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน ผ่านการจัดกิจกรรมการปลูกป่าชายเลนและปล่อยพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำลงสู่อ่าวไทย จากจุดเริ่มต้นโครงการในปี 2553 มาจนถึงวันนี้ เป็นระยะเวลากว่า 10 ปี โครงการฯ ช่วยสร้างความอุดมสมบูรณ์ให้กับป่าชายเลนซึ่งทำหน้าที่เป็นแหล่งอนุบาลสัตว์น้ำ คืนความอุดมสมบูรณ์ใ
