Women's health matters. Unfortunately it matters less when it comes to investing into women's health related research, and investing in any kind of support for women. Simply because most of the investors are still men.

"Investing was still “a bit of a men’s world”, she told the Financial Times. “I think the fact that most of them are men is not always helpful . . . We cannot assume that people understand what we mean because they really think it’s a niche,” she said.

“Most people define [women’s health] very narrowly, and forget about the fact that 50 per cent of our population are women with very specific needs and gaps and we’re facing inequality in healthcare.”

Straight to the point.

Elizabeth Peratrovich was an American civil rights activist, member of the Tlingit nation, Grand President of the Alaska Native Sisterhood, and fierce advocate for equality.

Indigenous women and girls are disproportionately victimized and trafficked. Over the years, dislocation, genocide, and other forms of mental, physical, and social abuse have caused higher rates of poverty, violence, and su***de among indigenous people.

We must demand the equal rights all people deserve.

Women are undervalued constantly. What is seen in men as exceptional is often normal and easy to achieve for women, what is exceptional in women is seen as..oh wait, is not seen at all.

"My education is very important to me and I plan on doing great things in life. If a man decides that I’m an object and does unspeakable and tragic things to me, am I, a child, supposed to carry and birth another child?” Gardner said.
