Hello friends, I am advertising a week early, partly because I will be out of town next weekend. I hope you will join me on November 6th at 10 pm, either on the airwaves, on the internet or on the two-week archive, for my special Marigold edition of the Global Music Show on KUNM where I honor musicians who have left us in the past 12 months (over 700 lost) by highlighting a few. This show is always amazing to compile in a bittersweet way, and I learn so much about musicians ranging from the obscure (to us Americans) to the well-known. It is all an attempt, in this time where many cultures remember those who have passed, to acknowledge the contributions that these individuals have made to our enjoyment of life, and will continue to entertain us thanks to the miracle of recording. The show will air on 89.9 KUNM in Northern New Mexico, at http://www.kunm.org to the rest of the world, and through November 20th at the two-week-archive ( http://www.kunm.org/two-week-archive ).
