Now more than ever, hyperlocal news is critical. As a volunteer-run publication, we rely on the passion of neighbors like you who love Logan Square to enable us to socialize the neighborhood. LoganSquarist has been a longstanding facilitator in the community and we hope to continue to serve that role. ⁠ ⁠ From canceled events to changing the way we socialize, 2020 has hit us all hard. At LoganSquarist, we too have felt this strain, while volunteers juggle more on their plates, typical outreach opportunities are no longer safe and we rely more on virtual-only interactions. Protest Against Violence

Today's protest against violence march began at the house of 10-year old Lena Nunez, who was shot and killed by a stray bullet in her home.
