HAPPENING NOW: A large police presence locks down the TVA building on Broad St. in Chattanooga. We still have no confirmed information at this time but I did witness CPD locate and make an arrest on a potential suspect related to this lockdown. DEVELOPING: A shooting investigation is being conducted by the Chattanooga Police Department at the 1100 Block of Arlington Avenue in Chattanooga. There is clear damage to the passenger side front and rear window of a vehicle in the parking lot at this address. We are still working to learn more on this case. A camper billowing smoke as the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department responds to the Sale Creek Campground off May Rd. HCSO responded alongside the fire crew. A car has crashed off of Dayton Blvd almost into the Clever Alehouse. I didn't spot anyone needing medical attention as a result of this crash and the bar seems untouched. Red Bank Fire and Red Bank PD are on the scene trying to clear the crash and direct traffic. Depend on us to keep you posted as more details come about WTVC-TV NewsChannel 9 News

HAPPENING NOW: A garage fire breaks out early morning on Thursday. Chattanooga Fire Department responds with the Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County EMS to the 5000 block of Swan Rd. CFD finds that the garage was vacant but visible damage can be seen to the structure. I was told when the fire originally started, flames reached above the tree line. The garage is not connected to the main home but instead located in the backyard area. Fire investigators are on scene and will continue to try and determine what caused the fire. Until then, depend on us to keep you posted as we learn more…

HAPPENING NOW: A house fire off of Highway 60 in Birchwood, TN has shut down traffic between Daugherty Ferry Rd and the intersection of Birchwood Pike and Defriese Rd (Pictured). If you are coming from the Birchwood area and trying to get to Highway 58, take the detour through Defriese Rd before the blocked off area shown. DEVELOPING: A house fire breaks out early Monday morning on Jackson Street in the Orchard K**b neighborhood. Smoke has been billowing out of the interior of the house from the attic and the main door way connected to the front porch. Chattanooga Fire Department Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County EMS have been on scene working this incident. A stretcher was brought out by EMS but I have not witnessed anyone being treated. Depend on us as we keep you updated on this developing scene WTVC-TV NewsChannel 9 News

DEVELOPING: A fire breaks out in the backyard of a house on Patriot Ln out of the Lake Shore area in Hixson. CFD crews quickly responded to try and prevent the fire from reaching the home. All residents had escaped their home without any injuries and crews have been able to keep the fire contained at an outside deck area. Due to the difficulty of the location of the fire, mutual aid has been called in to allow more CFD crews to arrive and aid as needed. Right now, crews are still on scene and trying to prevent the fire from spreading any further towards the home. Depend on us as we keep you updated. We are staying in contact with the Chattanooga Fire Department as they continue to give updates on the fire’s status

DEVELOPING: A large crash has occurred on Hickory Valley Rd, blocking the intersection of both Dupre Rd and Chiswick Dr. The driver of the silver car is ok and has been talking with law enforcement on scene. The current status of the driver of the red car is unknown. I did see someone taken by HCEMS on a stretcher when I first arrived. THP alongside CPD is working the scene. NEW THIS MORNING: The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (Hamilton County Sheriff's Office - TN) unveils a new Crime Data Dashboard alongside a new app that the public can access. This app named the Hamilton County Sheriff TN app will provide multiple resources to citizens and future citizens of Hamilton County including; jail/inmate info, reporting a crime, and sending in tips relating to school safety. Sheriff Garrett states “Our purpose is to mitigate crime before it happens…” and they claim these tools will help with that mission.
