DON’T MISTAKE THIS…

Don’t mistake the [ pursuit to make money ]

For the [ love of money ]

I think it’s pretty clear in this day and age that homes / families (and even people living on their own) need more than one stream of income.

You just can’t live off a job’s pay anymore.

Much less buy organic, live toxin-free, and provide a healthy lifestyle for yourself / your fam.

Advance your money.
Invest your money.
Provide well for yourself.
Live in abundance 🫶🏼

…if you can, why not? I guess unless you’d rather live paycheck to pay me I because you don’t want to put in the work to build freedom 🫠

Dear Ari,

I hope you grow to know that you can feel emotions other than anger

Crying is not girly

Showing kindness and tenderness is not weak

You can ask for help

You don’t always have to have it all together

You don’t have to be aggressive or forceful to get what you wish for

You can be strong and tender at the same time

& your mama + daddy will always love you 🤍

“what is love?”

love is when you’re missing some of your teeth
but you’re not afraid to smile
becuase you know your friends will still love you
even though some of you is missing

Don’t let social media, the news, or maybe who you follow, convince you that everything going on in the world is negative.

Remember that everything happens for a reason and everything has a purpose.

Do you come from a healthy family?

I do. And I’m grateful my parents taught us to love and nurture the outdoors & living naturally… I’m going to reciprocate that.

If you don’t, you should make sure a healthy family comes from you.

creamy white bean kale soup (it actually tastes amazing)

So listen. I’m not in the business of convincing you this soup is so good and E A S Y, that I feel like I should be. Every human should taste this soup at least once in their life. I’m obsessed, and it’s Zac’s new favourite (keep in mind this soup is vegan and Zac is the guys who will order a meat lovers pizza and then add 4 extra toppings of beef, chicken, pork + turkey).

I found this recipe and then modified to make it Amy own. Hope you love it as much as I do!

HERE’S HOW TO MAKE IT:

𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨

* 1 tablespoon olive oil (NOT extra virgin!)
* 1 medium yellow onion, diced
* 1 medium carrot, diced
* 1 stick celery, diced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* chili flakes (to taste)
* 1 sprig fresh rosemary, minced
* 4 cups cooked navy beans, drained and rinsed
* 4 cups vegetable stock
* 4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
* sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste
* 3 cups packed chopped kale
* ¼ cup curly parsley leaves, chopped

𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨

1. Heat the oil in a medium-large soup pot over medium heat.
2. Add the onions, carrots, and celery to the pot and stir. Sauté the vegetables until lightly softened and translucent (about 5 minutes).
3. To the pot, add the garlic, chili flakes, and rosemary. Stir and cook until garlic is fragrant (about 30 seconds).
4. Add the navy beans to the pot and stir.
5. Add the vegetable stock to the pot and stir once more. Bring the soup to a boil.
6. Once boiling, ladle half of the soup into an upright blender. Add the lemon juice to the blender as well. Carefully bring the speed of the blender up to high and blend until this portion of the soup is totally liquified. Pour this liquified portion back into the pot.
7. Season the soup with salt and pepper.
8. Add the kale to the pot and bring the soup to a boil. Once the kale is slightly wilted and bright green, season the soup once more with salt and pepper, if you find it necessary.
9. Stir in the chopped parsley as well. Serve the soup hot.

Finish the soup with a chili or lemon infused extra virgin olive oil + I served it with a southern biscuit. Yum!

6 months old 💚

Our little lion was 6 months on November 5!

He is:
• rolling over (front to back + back to front)
• sitting
• eating solids
• still being breastfed 🤍🤍🤍
• sooooo close to walking
• light years away from crawling 🤣
• has his first tooth 🦷
• wearing 1-year old sized clothes
• night-weaned + sleeping 13.5 hours every night
• putting himself to sleep
• needing his first haircut soon 🙈

I realized I hadn’t give any updates on his developments but he is doing so good, and he’s also such a big boy!

WHAT IS THIS ?!

This right here. This is my WHY.

THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO.

Not only do we run a business as a couple, but we do everything together and with our son. We’re not only married, but literal best friends.

And why we do it? Eachother + our family.

We are building our legacy - what are you building for your family’s future?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝.How do you think people go from poor to rich — how do you thi...

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝.

How do you think people go from poor to rich — how do you think someone can build an empire out of a simple name brand?

They believe they can.
They take actions and steps and sacrifices toward that.

What are you asking for in life?
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞.

There’s a reason Jesus says in the Bible “ask and ye shall receive.”

No matter what your goal is, decide to do it! Become an astronaut. Travel the world. Have a family. Earn a million dollars. Build your dream house. Create your own brand. Live the van life. Be an artisan. Rescue animals.

You can do it all.
𝐼 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑛𝑜𝑤!

So it’ll be hard, and you’ll find yourself constantly going back to that old way of thinking where you sold yourself on that fact that it was “too difficult.”

But keep practicing
+ keep trying
+ keep taking steps toward the future God created you for.

CAN YOU DO IT ALL, MOMMA ?

My one goal as a wife + mama: ᴅᴏ ɪᴛ ᴀʟʟ.
be a wife my man is proud of, be a mama who does her best, run a multi-figure online biz, cook + clean, the list goes on forever.

But take it day by day, and you will get it all done. You’ll get each day d o n e .

Society would have us believe we need to leave our kids while we work for eight hours a day, and if we don’t do that, we’re not “contributing” to our household.

𝙃𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚?

I have - and honestly it took me some mind work to get past that. Some days, 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴.

The truth is, that’s not how it needs to be. You don’t need to be contributing $$ monetarily $$ to feel worthy, momma. BUT you can, if you want.

ɪ ᴇɴᴄᴏᴜʀᴀɢᴇ ʏᴏᴜ to do things in life not out of the feeling that you NEED to, to be considered valid, but out of a place of desiring to because YOU CAN.

Yes, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙖 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 (𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙) 𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚 (link in bio to learn more) but first, I begggg you to 👏🏼 read the rest of this caption 👏🏼

We, as moms, want to contribute something physically SEEN with our eyeballs to feel worthy of being loved by those around us - our husband, kids, friends, whoever is close to us.

Even though we contribute our bodies for 9+++ months, from there on out - 24/7 - we are 100% wife
100% mama
100% caregiver
100% 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴.

Yet we still feel the inner urge to use any minstrel of us that’s left to contribute physically (many times monetarily) to our homes + families. Why?

I can’t say for sure WHY that is - but one thing I DO know is that that is just one absolutely 𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 thing about us.

Before you work on contributing another piece of yourself, let me challenge you to wake up every day and plan to pour from a full cup, instead of an empty one.

By this, I mean 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘴. What energy do those around you feel each day?

I hope it’s joy. If it’s not, make it be. Be so filled with love, joy and gratitude that it exudes from the very pores of your skin.

Then take on that project...if you feel the capacity to.

I’VE RESIGNED AT 3 WORKPLACES.

At each of those places, I was in management.

I’ve given at least 2 weeks notice each time.

My spots were filled with other individuals.

The moral of my story is that we are all “replaceable.”

Does your employer really care about you? Is the extra work worth it?

Do you realize that time is something you are never going to be able to re-use? Once it’s passed, it’s passed forever.

We are all “disposable” at those 9-5’s.

Go home and spend time with your family.

Build an organization that you can rely on daily, without needing to work every day.

Be present with those you love + who love you.

Use your vacation time. Take a mental health day. Hit the gym. Make time for your hobbies, interests, passions + personal development.

Drop a 💯 or MESSAGE ME to see if what I do is right for you, too, friend.

The love Ari gets from our family is pretty overwhelming, and I’m so grateful for how much support we’ve had from those close to us, since his birth.

It’s the sweetest thing watching the people you’ve known and loved for years, meet your new little human and reciprocate that love to them.

I am looking so forward to watching him grow up surrounded by people who want nothing but the best for him…what a wonderful life.

I legit don’t know any three dogs that get along better, and at the same time, worse than these 3. But they grew up together, we can’t expect anything less (or more🤣) than a sibling relationship lol.

I think it’s easier to feel like a “good mama” when things are going well.

Good sleeps, good feeds, no fussing…

So I also think it’s hard to feel like a good mom when things aren’t “going well” (btw who judges this?!).

We’ve been so in the swing of things for a couple of weeks now, with his bedtime, sleep schedule and mood being quite regulated every day - that if one day things go whack I instantly wonder what I did wrong.

What did I do wrong the day before that made this happen? Did I not feed him enough? Did I put him to sleep too early/late? The questions spiral…

But the truth is that we’re all just doing our best. I’m doing my best, Ari is doing his best and he’s so so strong (think about what your baby has gone through to get to where they are now…what fighters)!

We’re navigating life one day at a time. Together.

He’s ever-changing, developing, G R O W I N G G G . So I get to do all of it beside him.

++know that when these changes happen, they’re merely a little ledge on that mountain that allows you to place your foot on it, push up and keep climbing higher.

What people classify as “bumps” are not what validate you as a mother. People will say what they want - inhale who you are and exhale who you are not.

When these changes happen, Ari has no idea that things have been thrown off. All he knows is that he’s loved, fed, safe, and that daddy + mama are always here for him.

To him, I’m always a good mom.
And to yours, you are too mama 💕

Dropping into your feed today to spout this totally over-used phrase that I see in so many places, I actually forgot where it originated.

I wanted to allow it to speak to my souls once again, so I read John 15:9 and an abundance of gratefulness washed over my spirit.

Do you realize how much we are loved?
Do you realize how strong that love is?

Romana 8 says that no one could ever separate us from this love.

And neither could tribulation
or distress
or persecution
or famine
or nakedness
or peril
or sword.

These things cannot come close to touching that love
+ the fact is that through the Source of that love we are more than conquerors.

Nothing can separate us from the live of our Creator. Not death
nor life
nor angels
nor principalities
nor powers
nor things present
nor things to come
nor height
nor depth
nor any other creature

shall be able to separate us from the love of God

…and that’s a whole lotta love.

17/07/2021

Don’t feel sorry for or fear for your kids because the world they’ll grow up in is not the world it used to be.

I’m honestly T I R E D of hearing this said among parents (and even to me) that they feel for glide “these days.”

God created them and called them for the exact time that they’re in. Their life is not a coincidence or an accident.

Raise them up to know the power they walk in as children of God.

Train them up in the authority of His word.
Teach them to walk in faith knowing that God is in control.

Empower them to know they can change the world.

Don’t teach them to be fearful and disheartened by the state of the world - but hopeful that they can stand up and do something about it.

This means that you cannot be living in a state or mindset of fear or bitterness, or be disheartened.

Every person in the history of the universe has been placed in the time they are, were, or will be in because of God’s sovereign plan.

He knew Daniel could handle the lions den.
He knew Noah could brave the flood of the world.
He know David could handle Goliath.
He knew Esther could handle Haman.
He knew Peter could handle the persecution.
He knew John was strong enough to die a martyr’s death.

He knows your child can handle whatever challenge they face in their life - because He literally created them for it.

Don’t be scared for your children, but be honoured that God chose YOU to raise them to face the biggest challenges of our lifetime.

Rise up to the challenge.

Raise Daniels, Johns, Esthers and Peters.

God isn’t scratching His head wondering what He’s going to do with this mess of a world.

He has an army He’s raising to drive back the darkness and make His name known all over the earth.

“Don’t let your fear steal the greatness of God in them. I know it’s hard to imagine them as anything besides our sweet little babies, and we just want to protect them from anything that could ever be hard on them, but they were born for such a time as this.”

I think I took this photo at like 5am one morning after an early feed, just so I could look back one day and remember these mornings...but my guess is that there was probably tiredness behind that.

I’m a lover of early mornings, but pp recovery leaves a new mom tired for a long time (thought I’ve definitely gotten more rest in postpartum than I ever did during pregnancy)!

Being a mom for just barely 2 months has taught me so much and the biggest thing I’ve learned is that time is so much.

The time that is gone, we will never get back. What are you spending those precious minutes and hours doing? Something worth it, or something that will mean nothing in 5 years (or in 5 hours or 5 days)?

I’m so grateful that my business allows me to earn multi figure months + weeks on part time efforts (~an hour a day) while staying home and being a present mama for our son.

Could I have ever dreamed of this reality? It’s so amazing. Too good to be true...yet it’s true. 🤍

Ari was one month old on June 5th!

Unbelievable.

He’s growing so fast, and I love it.

We are so obsessed with watching him grow up and all of these firsts! His smiles, his sweet coos and his first half-way rollovers.

I’m loving being a mama - and for me, it hasn’t been near as bad as people tend to make it sound.

So for all you first time or expecting mommas, don’t be afraid ❤️ even if it’s hard, just remember you and your baby are both doing this for the first time, and you’re both learning together. @ Brandon, Manitoba
