Watching MSNBC let Joy go was personal to me. Not only because I know and love Joy and consider her a friend but because it made me relive the struggle I went through when SIRIUSXM let me go.

The beginning of the end came for me when I pleaded and argued with programming and PR executives not to re hire Steve Bannon after he was fired like a dog by Trump.

There were 2 executives who I was particularly close with who happened to be Jewish. I never would have played the card had they not before me but I was desperate to convince them this guy was really really bad. I thought that If I didn't do it I would be letting my Jewish friends down.

I told them that "Bannon is a N**i who HATES Jews." They laughed it off and argued and thought I was absurd.

Many of you remember this happening. Much of it was public. Mark Thompson, Michelangelo Signorelli and I all got in good trouble.

Losing my gig as SiriusXM was really hard and I still miss so many of the people I worked with, opportunities it created and the excitement of LIVE radio but what I am doing now is far more important and in so many ways far more fulfilling though I do miss dental and a 401k.

Through my work building and self producing a daily podcast we have created a community of amazing people who have connected with each other and built important relationships that will last a lifetime. I could not be prouder of what we have done and more grateful to those of you who have supported me along the way.

My daughter Ava was 14 when I lost my gig at sirius and she said "I'm not worried about you Dad, whatever you do next will be even better than what you did before."

I am so excited to see what my friend Joy does next because I know it will definitely be her best and most importany and impactful work when we need it most.

Also I just texted those 2 executives with this message and picture. "Steve Bannon is still a N**i"
