I’ve done countless tests over the past months and here is the best settings I’ve found:
1️⃣ Always shoot in 4K if you have the option.
To activate this option on your phone, go to:
Settings > Camera > Record Video > 4K at 30fps
2️⃣ So now that we shoot in 4K, we export in 4K correct? Not really…
Instagram compresses all videos to 1080p 30fps, and it’s better to do the compression on your end for better results.
If you want your reels to look super sharp be sure to export at 1080p 30fps (even if you shoot in 24fps)
3️⃣ Make sure you’re exporting at 25-45mbs in your export settings.
You typically want your video file to be less than 50 megabytes if you don’t want Instagram to compress it even more.
4️⃣ You might already know about this one…
But make sure you have your Instagram Post Settings to upload the highest quality.
You can activate this option going to:
Profile tab > Click on three stripes on right up side of screen > Settings and privacy > Media quality > Upload at highest quality
5️⃣ Create a dummy account.
Set a new account on private and test your videos there before uploading to your account.
Make sure to save it for later and follow me for more tips.

yea its cliché, it's that stereotypical piece of advice, but it's true.
in a lot of times it'll feel like you're walking in the dark, but you have to be willing to take that leap of faith. You have to be willing to fail, try and keep pushing.
give it 6 months and it'll all make sense.
it may feel like you're walking in the dark without a map to guide you. But if you stick to it having patience, consistency and persistency, in 6 months it'll all make sense.
just trust it. #motivation #project50 #mindset
