As Kuma attacks Saturn, that latter is surprised that Kuma's self-destruct switch had not been activated yet which he first used after Kuma was sprung by the Revolutionary Army. Vegapunk reveals that he did not install one, but Kuma would have shutdown instead, but believes it may have something to do with his Buccaneer background. However, Saturn recovers and tries to eliminate Kuma and Bonney, but Sanji and Franky intervene. In response, Saturn orders a Buster Call on Egghead.
Chapter Notes
As Kuma prepares to punch Saint Saturn, the latter demands an explanation from Vegapunk about why Kuma's self-destruct mechanism does not work.
According to Saturn, he had already activated the self-destruct sequence when Kuma had been broken out of Mary Geoise.
Kuma's punch connects with Saturn, sending him crashing into some buildings and breaking off his left horn. The collapsing buildings sever Saturn's right arm.
Vegapunk admits that Kuma's self-destruct was not a bomb, for fear of it being weaponized, but should still have deactivated him.
Vegapunk believes that Kuma's buccaneer nature may have been involved in it.
Bonney reunites with Kuma in her child form, as everyone previously incapacitated by Saturn can move again.
Some of the Marines note that Luffy has disappeared.
Saturn regenerates his injuries and prepares to kill Kuma and Bonney, but Sanji stops him.
Franky pierces Saturn with his Radical Beam, but is in turn attacked by Kizaru.
Vegapunk orders Atlas to carry the immobile Kuma to safety as Saturn orders a Buster Call on Egghead.
