CASC-OR Race Director Pat Cyr says that the Shannonville weekend, which saw 24 Miatas on track, exceeded expectations.
“We recognized how important it was to be able to create this grid, number one, because of how many cars are existing. So, on a scale of 10, it would be an 11 of how well everything went over.”

On Sunday, June 30, Toronto Motorsports Park played host to the 2024 edition of its annual Canadian Nitro Nationals. The Canada Day Weekend spectacular is a 'must see' event for drag racing fans in the region. Despite some weather challenges, this year's Nitro Nationals didn't disappoint. One of the highlights was the evening run between the two Paton Racing Nitro Funny cars, featuring Jeff Chatterson and Todd Paton. In this run, Chatterson (in the left lane) went 304 mph and clipped the wall, but emerged unscathed. Watch for additional pictures and clips from the event shortly...
