Not sure I have too many left following this page, but wanted to share the news that my sweet boy Roscoe crossed over the rainbow bridge two weeks ago. Hunter and I are struggling through our grief, trying to find a new normal. At some point I may share more, or work on a more formal eulogy for this life that was so big and important to me. I know that he touched many hearts along the way, and maybe even changed some minds about chihuahuas because he was so special. We will miss him forever ❤️

UPDATE II

Stark Enterprises has decided to table Petland's application for zoning text change. They "have become aware of concerns in the community relating to this tenant." I will let you know if this request comes back to the city in the future but hopefully it will not. THANK YOU for speaking up!

Thank you for reaching out to me with your comments.
I strongly oppose changing anything to allow a Petland to move into Westlake. I’m happy to see that so many agree with me. In the hundreds and hundreds of comments I have received so far, not one person has supported the idea.
City Council did not set out to change this. An applicant came to us with a request and it is under review. That is the process.
I will let you know when there is a time that the public can speak to this and provide you with details.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

Currently, the City of Westlake does not allow the sale of live animals in shopping districts. Stark Enterprises would like this changed so that they can allow a Petland to move into the Verizon Wireless location in the Promenade.
I have a strong opinion about this. I'd like to hear from you.

Handsome JoJo will be looking for a home soon! He’s 9 years old, about 7 lbs and the sweetest, snuggly pup. Gets along with dogs and cats, would probably be fine with kids, although he is a tiny guy so they’d need to be gentle. Meet Rocco! My new foster with Peace, Love and Poms Rescue. Rocco is a senior pup, maybe around 13, although he definitely doesn’t act like it! The vet checked him out and he is a healthy boy, blood work is all good and he didn’t need any teeth pulled. The only thing he is dealing with are some skin issues maybe due to allergies or poor hygiene/care. He is a sweetie, but does have some fear issues and can react aggressively when scared. Would make a great pup for a quiet home that will be willing to work with him in his fear issues. Gets along with dogs and cats, but wouldn’t recommend a household with young children.
