Danny began his journey in the music world writing for Bass Explorer when he was about 19. After becoming Editor, he joined forces with Fortitude Magazine to become their Dance Music Editor and subsequent Community Manager. Throughout this time, Danny built up a solid base of music contacts from labels and PR brands across the country. His first venture into radio came with BHBN Hospital Radio whe
re he honed his skills behind a sound-desk. Alongside this, he was lucky enough to work at the Hare & Hounds, Kings Heath - a vibrant venue with regular funk, acoustic and bassy events the year throughout. More contacts were garnered while working at the venue which allowed Danny to be joined by DJ REACTION & MC Conrad as well as rubbing shoulders with the likes of Goldie, DJ Randall, LTJ Bukem and many more of the greats. In mid-2015 Danny came across Brum Radio through some Twitter-networking and the first drum & bass show on Brum Radio was born. Over the following months, Danny reached out across to his social media family to collaborate and "Brum & Bass" was one of the resounding show titles. Music friend Mainline was hot on his toes with the 'reybekillariddem' which as we know, became Danny's track of the week title. The debut show went out in December 2015 and hosted local brands and artists, DJ's and labels alike, spanning techno to hip-hop sounds, club nights and exercise-sessions. With plenty more up his sleeve, Danny will be continuing to push the brand out through 2017 in Birmingham. He's been lucky enough to host guests like MC Conrad, Bryan Gee and dubstep pioneer Mala. He's interviewed liquid kings LSB, Mutated Forms and Steve BCEE of Spearhead Records as well as getting exclusive first plays from heads from all corners of the scene.
