Luke Burke
I began my career at MTV Networks as a Summer Associate in 2003. Shortly after completing the Summer Associates program I became a member of the MTV News & Docs team. During my tenure at MTV News I coordinated over 250 daily news shoots. In addition to working on series like Diary, Cribs, True Life, and High School Stories, I also coordinated on several live events including the Video Music Awards Pre-Show Red Carpet for five consecutive years.
In 2010 I joined the BET News team. I am proud of securing exclusive access with Trayvon Martin's family as we followed them through their journey for justice at the birth of the Black Lives Matter Movement. Our documentary special "The Tragedy of Trayvon Martin: "Shoot First" is the recipient of an NABJ Salute to Excellence Award. I am also the creator and producer of the special "Top Moments: Obama's First Term". The BET News political coverage for the 2012 election cycle received the coveted Walter Cronkite Award for Television Excellence in Political Journalism.
In 2013 I signed on with True Entertainment as a segment producer for Bravo's hit series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." Season six gained record ratings for the housewives franchise and BRAVO Network. In 2014 I joined cable news as a Social Media Producer and Editorial Producer for CNN's Headline News.
In 2016 I launched my own production company that specializes in social/digital content. BURKE IV has produced several viral videos and the honor to partner with Ikana Media/CNN Films, PBS, and COMPLEX just to name a few.
