A shocking incident on the Pune-Hatia Express train has gone viral on social media. The incident happened around 4th or 5th March 2025, when a man named Nirmal Mishra was allegedly harassed by another passenger.

Nirmal shared two videos on social media, explaining what happened. He said that a 33-year-old man from Chhattisgarh touched and kissed him while he was asleep. The accused also grabbed his buttocks and touched him inappropriately. When Nirmal confronted him, the man shamelessly said he "liked it."

In the video, the accused kept looking at the camera without any shame, while his wife tried to defend him. Nirmal turned the camera to show the people around and asked, "If this had happened to a woman, would you still say 'let it go'?" He also questioned, "If this happened to your wife, would you forgive him?"

The video showed Nirmal pulling the man out of his seat while the man’s wife begged for forgiveness. In another video, Nirmal was seen hitting the man and warning him that he would hand him over to the police.

Nirmal expressed his frustration, saying that no one supported him during the incident. He also claimed that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) did not take the matter seriously because both he and the accused were men. He pointed out that the crowd seemed to support the accused, possibly because he was traveling with his wife.

Nirmal said, "This is the reality. If even men are not safe on trains, how can women be expected to feel safe?"

Despite the lack of support during the incident, many people on social media praised Nirmal for speaking up and confronting the harasser. One user commented, "This is so sad. Look at him, shamelessly staring at the camera! People like this should not be allowed to roam freely." Another wrote, "Sometimes, you have to take matters into your own hands." A third user said, "Such a shameless man, standing there like nothing happened—no guilt, no regret. And his wife is in such a helpless situation. Kudos to you for standing up for your rights!"

This incident has raised serious questions about safety on trains and the need for stricter actions against harassment.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is still ongoing, and many lives have been lost. Recently, a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Oval Office turned into a heated argument, which was broadcast live for the world to see.

The meeting, held on **28th February 2025**, was supposed to discuss a minerals deal and the Russia-Ukraine war. However, it quickly turned into a fight. When Zelenskyy arrived, Trump teased him by saying, “He is all dressed up,” hinting that Zelenskyy was ready to put on a show for the media.

During the meeting, Trump told Zelenskyy, “You are losing the war, and your country is in big trouble.” When Zelenskyy tried to respond, Trump cut him off, saying, “No, you’ve done a lot of talking.”

Zelenskyy argued that Ukraine has been fighting the war alone, but Trump reminded him that it was only because of US support that Ukraine could stand against Russia. He said, “We gave you $350 billion through Joe Biden. Without our military equipment, this war would have ended in 2 weeks.”

The situation got worse when Zelenskyy disrespected US Vice President JD Vance, using bad words and saying, “Have you ever been to Ukraine? You come to Ukraine, then you will understand our problems.” He was also seen uttering a bad word in frustration, which shocked everyone.

Zelenskyy further angered Trump by saying, “You have nice oceans, and don’t feel now. But you will feel it in the future,” implying that the US feels safe because of its geography but will face attacks someday.

Trump warned Zelenskyy that his behaviour could risk starting World War 3. After the meeting, Trump tweeted, “Zelenskyy does not want peace. He disrespected the US in the Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for peace.” This suggests that the US may stop helping Ukraine.

Russia was quick to react, offering economic cooperation with the US on rare earth minerals and energy. Meanwhile, the European Union (EU) said, “The free world needs a new leader.”

Adding to the drama, Elon Musk supported the idea of the US leaving NATO and the UN, replying “I agree” to a post on X.

Interestingly, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently said that India’s side in the Russia-Ukraine war is peace.

This meeting has worsened US-Ukraine relations, and the world is watching closely as tensions rise. The next few years could bring big changes globally.

A 37-year-old man, Dattatraya Ramdas Gade, was arrested for allegedly ra**ng a 26-year-old woman inside a bus at Pune’s Swargate bus stand. This bus stand is one of the biggest depots of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). The shocking incident happened on 25th February 2025 between 5:45 am and 6 am, just 100 meters away from a police station.

The survivor, who works in the medical field, was waiting to catch a bus to her hometown in Satara district. Dattatraya approached her, called her "didi" (sister), and told her that the bus to Satara was at a different platform. He then took her to an empty Shiv Shahi AC bus parked nearby. The woman was hesitant to enter as the bus lights were off, but Dattatraya convinced her it was the right bus. Once inside, he followed her and r***d her.

The bus was abandoned, and since it was an AC bus, the windows were shut, making it impossible for her cries to be heard. After the crime, Dattatraya fled the scene and was on the run for three days.

Accused’s Criminal Background
Dattatraya, a resident of Gunat village in Pune, has a history of crimes. He has been involved in theft, robbery, and chain-snatching cases in Pune and Ahilyanagar districts. He has been out on bail since 2019. Reports also suggest that he had been pretending to be a policeman for several months.

Protests and Political Pressure
On 26th February, Shiv Sena (UBT) workers protested and vandalised a bus at the Swargate bus stand. They damaged the security office, broke windows, and destroyed furniture. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vasant More, who led the protest, justified the vandalism, saying, "The incident happened right in front of the security cabin. If a woman can be r***d there, then no one has the right to sit in that cabin."

Women activists also protested against the BJP-led Maharashtra government, demanding justice for the survivor. On 27th February, members of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) demanded strict action against the accused. Political parties compared this case to the 2012 Delhi Nirbhaya gang r**e incident and pressured the police to arrest the accused quickly.

How the Accused Was Caught
The Pune police acted swiftly after the woman filed her complaint. They identified Dattatraya from CCTV footage at the bus stand and announced a ₹1 lakh reward for information about him. They also shared phone numbers for tips and promised to keep the informer’s identity secret.

The police formed 13 teams and searched various locations across Maharashtra, including sugarcane fields near Dattatraya’s home in Gunat village. They used sniffer dogs and drones during the search. Finally, after 75 hours, the police found him hiding in the fields and arrested him.

Questions Raised
This incident has raised serious questions about safety at busy public places like bus stands. How did the accused dare to commit such a crime in a bus depot under 24-hour CCTV surveillance? Should the police station, located just 100 meters away, provide better security?

Safety Advisory
This case is a reminder to be careful while traveling and not to trust strangers, no matter how friendly they seem.

The police have assured that strict action will be taken against the accused, and efforts are being made to improve security at public transport hubs.

The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was rocked by protests after a 20-year-old Nepali student, Prakriti Lamsal, was found dead in her hostel room on 16th February 2025. Prakriti, a third-year Computer Science student, was from Nepal and had come to India to study. Her death sparked outrage, leading to protests, arrests, and diplomatic tensions between India and Nepal.

What Happened?
Prakriti was allegedly in a toxic relationship with Advik Shrivastava, a Mechanical Engineering student at KIIT. A viral audio clip surfaced where a man, believed to be Advik, was heard abusing and threatening her. Her roommate said Prakriti had an argument with Advik on the morning of her death. Later, she was found dead in her room.

The police initially suspected su***de and arrested Advik for abetment of su***de under BNS Section 108. While no su***de note was found, evidence from her phone suggested emotional abuse.

Protests and Backlash
Nepali students at KIIT accused the university of ignoring Prakriti’s complaints about mental harassment. They demanded justice and strict action against Advik. Instead of addressing their concerns, the university allegedly used force against protesters. Security guards were seen attacking students, and Nepali students were ordered to vacate hostels immediately.

The situation worsened when KIIT officials made disrespectful remarks about Nepal. In a viral video, an official mocked Nepal’s economy, saying, “KIIT’s budget is bigger than Nepal’s GDP.” These comments fueled anger, and protests grew louder.

Expulsion of Nepali Students
KIIT announced the closure of the campus for Nepali students, forcing around 800 students to leave hostels. Many were stranded without proper travel arrangements. The Nepali government condemned the treatment of its students and sent officials to assist them.

Government and Political Reactions
The Odisha government issued a notice to KIIT for mishandling the situation and formed a committee to investigate Prakriti’s death and the university’s actions. The issue also became a political controversy, with opposition parties demanding a judicial inquiry.

Arrests and Apologies
The police arrested six people, including Advik, three KIIT officials, and two security guards. After public outrage, KIIT apologized for its officials’ remarks and removed two officials involved in the expulsion of Nepali students. However, many Nepali students refuse to return, citing safety concerns.

Prakriti’s Family Demands Justice
Prakriti’s family is devastated. They claim she had complained to the university about Advik’s abuse but no action was taken. Her father, Sunil, rushed to KIIT after her death and is demanding strict punishment for those responsible.

The incident has strained India-Nepal relations, with Nepal warning it may restrict students from studying in Odisha if no action is taken. The Indian government has assured justice will be served.

The ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj has attracted millions of devotees from across the country, all eager to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. With heavy traffic causing delays, some devotees have chosen unique ways to reach the festival. Among them are inspiring cyclists who have pedaled hundreds of kilometers, not just to fulfill their spiritual journey but also to spread important messages about health and the environment.

Father-Daughter Duo Cycles 675 km from Delhi
Umesh Pant and his daughter Anupama Pant from Delhi embarked on a remarkable 675 km bicycle journey to reach the Mahakumbh Mela. Anupama planned the trip, and her father supported her throughout. They halted at various cities for food and rest, taking several days to complete the journey. After reaching Prayagraj, they took the holy dip at the Sangam and shared their belief that cycling can reduce pollution and promote a healthier lifestyle.

Their journey not only showcased their devotion but also highlighted the environmental benefits of cycling.

Odisha Man Cycles 1,800 km from Bengaluru
Nandighosa Khamari, a resident of Odisha, took his commitment to cycling even further. He began an All India tour in September 2022, cycling across 28 states and covering 20,000 km. His final destination was Bengaluru, where he arrived in mid-January 2025. Inspired by the Mahakumbh Mela, he decided to cycle another 1,800 km from Bengaluru to Prayagraj.

Nandighosa completed this journey in 18 days, carrying a tent and essentials to camp at petrol stations along the way. His mission is to promote cycling as a way to stay healthy and reduce environmental damage. For him, the Mahakumbh Mela is not just a religious event but also an opportunity to raise awareness about preserving nature.

A Growing Trend
These inspiring stories show how devotees are combining their spiritual journeys with efforts to protect the environment. By choosing bicycles over trains or buses, they are setting an example for others to follow. Their journeys remind us that small changes, like cycling, can make a big difference for our health and the planet.

The Mahakumbh Mela, the world’s largest human gathering, concluded on 26th February with Mahashivratri marking the final day. Crores of devotees took a holy dip at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet. However, recent reports have raised concerns about the water quality at the Sangam, sparking debates over public health and safety.

What’s the Issue?
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) submitted a report to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) revealing high levels of faecal coliform bacteria in the water around the Kumbh Mela region. Faecal coliform bacteria are harmful microorganisms found in human and animal waste. These bacteria can cause serious health issues like fever, nausea, stomach cramps, and even diseases such as typhoid, hepatitis, and dysentery if ingested or exposed to the skin.

The CPCB collected water samples in January 2025 and found alarming levels of waste, chemicals, and faecal coliform in the Ganga and Yamuna rivers. The report stated that the water quality failed to meet basic bathing standards, posing a significant risk to the millions of pilgrims bathing in the rivers.

How Did This Happen?
The massive influx of people during the Mahakumbh has led to increased faecal contamination in the water. Despite efforts to manage waste, many treatment sites were found to be not following proper rules, worsening the situation.

Authorities Respond
The NGT summoned officials from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) on 19th February 2025 to explain the failure to maintain water quality during the Mahakumbh. However, local authorities have assured the public that steps are being taken to address the issue.

The Mahakumbh Special Executive Officer stated that over 1.5 lakh toilets are being maintained daily to ensure proper waste disposal. Additionally, six sewage treatment plants are operational to reduce pollution during the event.

UP CM Denies Claims
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has dismissed reports of faecal coliform bacteria in the Sangam water. He claimed that the water at Triveni Sangam is safe to drink and bathe in, reassuring devotees about its purity.

New Study Offers Hope
Amid the controversy, a new study has brought some relief. Padma Shri awardee Dr. Ajay Sonkar revealed that the Ganga River has a unique self-purification system. The study found that the river contains 1,100 types of bacteriophages—microscopic viruses that destroy harmful bacteria. This natural purification process makes the Ganga 50 times faster at cleaning itself compared to other freshwater rivers.

Dr. Sonkar’s findings suggest that the holy water at Triveni Sangam remains safe for bathing, even during large gatherings like the Mahakumbh.

What’s Next?
While the debate over water quality continues, authorities are working to ensure better waste management and water treatment systems. Pilgrims are advised to take precautions, such as bathing with soap and avoiding drinking untreated river water.

The Mahakumbh Mela remains a symbol of faith and devotion, but the recent concerns highlight the need for better infrastructure and environmental care to protect both the rivers and the millions who rely on them.

Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja, married for 37 years, are reportedly heading for a divorce. The couple tied the knot in March 1987 and have two children—son Yashvardan (27) and daughter Narmada (35). According to reports, Sunita sent a "separation notice" to Govinda a few months ago, but neither has officially commented on the rumors.

Sources claim the couple has been living apart for some time due to differences in their lifestyles and issues caused by family members. Govinda’s manager stated that while there have been problems, they are trying to resolve them. Govinda is currently busy with a new film and has not addressed the divorce rumors directly.

The couple’s relationship has faced challenges in the past. In the late 90s, rumors of Govinda’s closeness with actress Rani Mukerji during the filming of *Hadh Kar Di Aapne* caused tension in his marriage. Though Rani denied any romantic involvement, the gossip left a mark. Recently, reports suggested that Govinda’s alleged relationship with a Marathi actress may have contributed to the separation.

In an interview, Sunita confirmed living separately from Govinda, stating, “We have two houses—a bungalow and a flat. I stay in the flat with my kids and my temple.” She also shared her disappointment about Govinda’s lack of time for family outings, saying, “I have told him that in my next life, he shouldn’t be my husband.”

On Valentine’s Day, Sunita was seen with her son and joked, “Sir (Govinda) is with his Valentine. Don’t get the wrong idea. He loves his work a lot, so work is his Valentine.”

Family members, including Govinda’s niece Arti Singh and nephew Krushna Abhishek, have dismissed the divorce rumors, calling them false. Krushna said, “This is not possible. They won’t divorce.”

Adding to the drama, a few months ago, Govinda accidentally shot himself in the foot while cleaning his licensed gun. He recovered well, but some speculate if the incident is linked to the ongoing marital issues.

As the rumors swirl, fans await an official statement from the couple. For now, the future of Govinda and Sunita’s 37-year marriage remains uncertain.

In a bizarre incident in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, a Class 12 student has claimed to have married his girlfriend over WhatsApp, sparking a major dispute between their families. The boy and girl, both 12th-grade students, exchanged messages on WhatsApp where the boy sent "Kabool hai" (I accept) three times, and the girl responded similarly. They believed this exchange made them officially married.

The boy even showed police photos of them as a couple and their WhatsApp chats, including the "Kabool hai" messages. He also revealed that during their secret meetings, the girl applied sindoor (vermilion) as a sign of their marital bond. However, their families strongly opposed the relationship, citing differences in religious backgrounds and the couple's young age.

The boy’s family expressed concerns about his obsession with the girl, claiming it had caused him to distance himself from them and act irrationally. They approached the police for help. On 9th February 2025, the situation escalated when the boy created a scene at the police station, demanding to marry the girl at any cost.

Despite hours of counselling by the police, the boy remained adamant about his decision. The police are now waiting for formal complaints from both families to take legal action and are trying to mediate to resolve the situation peacefully.

This unusual case highlights the complexities of young love and the challenges families face in such situations.

CORRECTION: The video mentions that the Champions Trophy logo was displayed incorrectly in two matches, but it actually appeared wrong in only one match.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, hosted by Pakistan, has been full of excitement, controversies, and some big mistakes. While fans are enjoying the matches with Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretations for India’s games, the tournament has faced several hiccups even before it began.

Pakistan’s Poster Blunder
One of the first controversies was a mistake in Pakistan’s tournament poster. The poster featured Rovman Powell, the captain of the West Indies T20I team. But here’s the catch—the West Indies didn’t even qualify for the Champions Trophy! Social media users quickly noticed the error and trolled Pakistan. One user joked, “Pakistanis are very knowledgeable,” while another said, “Only Pakistan can do this.”

India-Pakistan Tensions
Even before the tournament started, there were reports that India didn’t want Pakistan’s name on their jerseys. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) called this move “mixing politics with cricket.” However, the ICC stepped in and made it clear that all teams, including India, must follow the rules and wear the official logo with Pakistan’s name. If India refused, they could face strict action.

India also decided not to play any matches in Pakistan, citing “security reasons.” All of India’s matches are being played in Dubai instead. During the India vs Bangladesh match, another mistake happened when the broadcast logo didn’t show Pakistan as the host. The ICC called it a “technical error” and promised to fix it.

More Controversies
The troubles didn’t stop there. During a match in Lahore, the wrong national anthem was played before the Australia vs England game. Instead of Australia’s anthem, the start of India’s anthem was played, causing more embarrassment.

There were also reports of three kit bags from the South African team being stolen. To make matters worse, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra suffered a forehead injury during a warm-up match in Lahore. Many blamed the poor placement of floodlights for the incident.

Pakistan’s Disappointing Performance
Pakistan’s hopes of reaching the semi-finals were dashed when New Zealand beat Bangladesh on 24th February 2025. Pakistan had a rough start to the tournament, losing to New Zealand in Karachi. Their match against India was crucial, but things didn’t go well.

Pakistan’s batsman Babar Azam started strong, but the team couldn’t keep up the momentum. Captain Mohammad Rizwan struggled, and wickets fell quickly, leaving Pakistan with just 241 runs. India’s Virat Kohli dominated the chase, scoring a century and reaching a milestone of 14,000 ODI runs. He also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record to become the fastest player to reach this mark.

However, former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar suggested that Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi might have bowled wides on purpose to stop Kohli from scoring his century. Gavaskar said, “Pakistan didn’t want a record made against them.” India won the match by 6 wickets.

What’s Next?
This is the first time in 29 years that Pakistan is hosting an ICC tournament, but their team’s poor performance has left fans disappointed. On the other hand, India is looking strong. Can they win the tournament this year? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
