I watched Kyle and the rest of Fruitfly agonize over When The Weather Is Nice for years, and I’m so happy that it’s come to fruition in such a wonderful way. Anthemic post-emo with great pop sensibilities alongside some fun technical trickery. The production makes even the slow-burning anthems feel just right. The physical copies look and sound great due to the excellent team they had working on it, their touring schedule is plentiful, and they’re all charismatic young folks that play super well and still have the spoons to chat afterwards, so you know they’re gonna go far. Go see them in your town.
