In 1970, a 19 year old young man decided that because of his love for music, he wanted to create a home for musicians, who, at that time were not able to have their music heard , or even make money from their music in the way they would like. Cecil Reeves was not only a writer and producer of music, but was a young businessman who had a knack for selling things, and music was no exception. He star
ted Brimstone Records in his grandmother's home in Jamaica, since she only stayed there two months in the summer and one month during the winter. He was able to develop his skills in music, and by 1976 his first productions were making their way on the shelves of record stores in Jamaica and the United Kingdom, as well as, being heard on the radios and in the clubs in both countries. By the time he passed away in 1994, he had over 40 songs he had produced with many great talents (musicians, singers, engineers, etc.) in Jamaica and the United Kingdom, who had made their foothold in the reggae industry. In 2016, his daughter, after working with several agencies to locate her father's work, and herself working in the education, and entertainment industry managing and working with the development of several up and coming artists, decided to revamp and re-establish the record label Brimstone Records, LLC as her father would have wanted. The label intends to create music for the masses suited for radio, television, film, video games, and advertising, while growing the next generation of successful writers, musicians, singers, producers and architects of the changing music industry.
