DOHA: A four-day ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian war in Gaza will begin today and an exchange of hostages and prisoners will follow a few hours later, Qatari mediators said.

Commenting on the truce, Ansari said it required "a complete ceasefire... without air or ground attacks," adding that he hoped "there will be no violations."

The ceasefire agreement will come into force in stages which can be extended and expanded. It also aims to provide aid to the 2.4 million residents of Gaza.

KHAN YUNIS: Thirty-one premature babies who were trapped in Al-Shifa Hospital without the help of medical equipment have been transferred to the south of the Gaza Strip.
