A pickup truck destroyed a woman’s home at Verdunville Sunday night.

A loud crash shook the houses of neighbors in the 3400 area of Mud Fork Road Sunday night when a Ford F-150 collided with a house along the roadway.

According to a press release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Ryan Allen arrived on scene to find the destruction left in the wake of the collision. Police say 28-year-old Jessey J. Vance, of Verdunville, knew his truck had defective ball joints and a cracked frame but operated it anyway. The crash tore out a natural gas meter at the residence.

Investigators with the WV State Fire Marshal’s Office confirm that four victims were found in the remains of a home in Ireland, Lewis County.

The investigation by the WVSFMO is still active and ongoing, with assistance from several other law enforcement agencies.

It’s unknown at this time exactly what led to the fire.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a man wanted in connection with the fatal fire killed himself Monday morning at a home in Kanawha County.

According to deputies, they were dispatched to a home along Ester Lane in Hugheston to investigate a wanted person.

Metro 911 dispatchers had taken a call from residents of the home stating a family member, Luke Wilson, was there knocking on the door.

Wilson, 45, of Walkersville, West Virginia was allegedly a suspect in the suspicious and fatal fire in Lewis County.

As Kanawha County deputies arrived on the scene, Wilson could initially be seen moving around inside his vehicle but quickly stopped moving.

Multiple attempts to call Wilson out of the vehicle were unsuccessful, deputies say.

When deputies approached Wilson’s vehicle, they discovered that Wilson was deceased inside his vehicle from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Further details have not been released.
