Memorial Day with Roger W. The Traveling Yorkie
On this Memorial Day, let’s take a moment to remember all our heroes who sacrificed their lives for our freedom 🇺🇸, including countless military dogs 🐕 who lost their lives while serving and rarely got the recognition they deserved.

STOP counting countries!
WOOF, we used to keep a count of every country we’ve traveled to, but decided to stop awhile back. Many travelers are obsessed with counting because they think it establishes status and credibility. However, we believe it’s irrelevant because traveling should only be about the experience. And, being to X number of countries doesn’t make you more cultured and experienced than those who have visited fewer countries but have spent a lot more time (or have lived) in one destination. Numbers are often inflated, distorting the truth. Next time you think about packing several countries into one itinerary, consider just visiting one destination and taking your time to explore. Traveling is not a numbers game! What are your thoughts on country counting?
Roger W. & Penny R.'s Thursday
