Here's the thing about people with good hearts.
They give you excuses when you don't explain yourself.
They accept apologies you don't give.
They see the best in you when you don't need them to. At your worst, they lift you up, even if it means putting their priorities aside.
The word "busy" does not exist in their dictionary. They make time, even when you don't.
And you wonder why they're the most sensitive people.
You wonder why they're the most caring people.
You wonder why they are willing to give so much of themselves with no expectation in return.
You wonder why their existence is not so essential to your well-being.
It's because they don't make you work hard for the attention they give you.
They accept the love they think they've earned, and you accept the love you think you're entitled to.

Let me tell you something. Fear the day when a good heart gives up on you.
Our skies don't become gray out of nowhere. Our sunshine does not allow the darkness to take over for no reason.
A heart does not turn cold unless it's been treated with coldness for a while.

Life doesn't always introduce us to sunshine and a cup of tea on a fine morning.

Sometimes, life offers us storms over our heads—trying to convince us that we're living a bad life and that we cannot get through this one.

Most people fail and live with despair, maybe because during the process of battling their storms, they gave up; and that's why they never find out what happens in the end.

The truth is, the good thing about the storms we go through is they will eventually run out of rain.

They will run dry. They always pass. They always leave once they're sure we are watered enough to grow.

You see, storms are temporary.

And if you're facing one today, let them pass without you— giving up.

For the very time I feel I'm a Nigerian,and I went and listened to the national anthem,the feeling chill,I feel cold, watching people jubilating In de street of Lagos wen d super eagle won,I saw a northerner hugging a southerner,an easterner shaking a Westerner,none talk of tribe or religion,all d care about was Nigeria....

LEADING OTHERS IS A PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT ......

Many leaders forget that leading others should be revered more than anything else. Being the leader means that you have been placed in a position to serve others.

Too often, I have seen leaders duck and cover, throw their people under the bus, throw their positional weight around, and instead of leading from a place of service, lead from a place of ego when things get rough.

You are privileged to be in a position where you can direct, shape, and focus people’s potential toward a specific result. When you are given the responsibility to lead, you are given a tremendous opportunity to influence many people’s lives positively, a responsibility you should never take for granted.

Someone asked me how to dry their tears one day...

I said to let them flow

I meant let them pour like a storm

Because all drying tears prematurely ever did for me was create more later

Being sad and crying when we need to is as important for us as choosing to be happy

When did suppression of emotion become our new normal anyway

When did we start to say that how we felt didn’t matter and should be hidden

When did we put on new masks to cover old masks

I know for me it was very early in life

I was told crying was selfish and made other people’s lives harder, it made my mothers life harder

What rubbish

My mother made her own life harder through her choice of how she viewed it

What I needed to be the purest expression of myself, and that meant being allowed to accept all of myself, tears included

Crying doesn’t hurt you

Not crying can hurt you a lot

I once cried for seven hours

I’m still breathing

I still chose to be happy the next day

So when you need to, let the tears go

They dry when their purpose is met

"The TRUTH is, that all of the “STUFF” here on earth we work SO hard to buy and accumulate..does NOT mean a thing. At the end of the day...people will be cleaning out our "STUFF", going thru our "STUFF", figuring out what to do with all of our "STUFF"....this "STUFF" we've accumulated in our life. The only thing of VALUE that remains are the MEMORIES and what we deposit into others. May we all learn to spend less time accumulating "STUFF" and spend way more time making MEMORIES

Breathe.
You're going to be okay. Breathe and remember that you've been in this place before.
You've been this uncomfortable and anxious and scared, and you've survived.
Breathe and know that you can survive this, too.
These feelings can't break you.
They're painful and debilitating, but you can sit with them, and eventually, they will pass.
Maybe not immediately, but sometime soon, they are going to fade, and when they do, you'll look back at this moment and laugh for having doubted your resilience.
I know it feels unbearable right now, but keep breathing again and again.
This will pass.
I promise it will pass.
