Sometimes, forgiveness starts with forgiving yourself for the things you didn’t know.

If you would have known, you would have done it differently. But you didn’t...so you didn’t.

But living with regret is as productive as trying to run a marathon with 200 lbs weights around your ankles.

You just can’t do it. You never will be able to fully run your race with the weight of unforgiveness, toward yourself, weighing you down.

So today, maybe the next step of your freedom journey means letting go and forgiving yourself for what you didn’t know. Quit giving head-space to those things. Quit beating yourself up. Quit believing you deserve this pain.

Now take a deep breathe, look in the face of Jesus, and see that none of your mistakes are bigger than His ability to redeem, restore, and fix the seemingly unfixable.

He is bigger than your regrets.

In prayer, these words keep stirring in my heart....

“Let that mountain know your name.”

So many times we sit back and wait for God to move a mountain, but He’s told US to speak to it and it would be cast into the sea.

What mountain needs to know you’re a child of the Most High God and that it has to move?

On the days I want to quit, I remember this.

On the days things feel too hard, I’m motivated by these words.

I’m living my story everyday and you are too.

Live it in a way that it’s a good story to tell.

Not a perfect story, not one without bruise or blemish, but one where you didn’t quit. One where you kept getting up to write the next chapter.

You will never reach the deeps parts of yourself if you are afraid to sit in the slow and quiet.

God has placed gifts, abilities, and truth deep within you, but they have to be mined out. It takes time, patience, surrender, and honesty.

So many people are frantically living shallow, superficial lives. They stay busy jumping from one thing to the next, chasing the hype, and outrunning the voice in their head saying they’re never doing enough. Being still and quiet terrifies them and they think if they can just “stay busy” all their problems will go away.

My friend, “busy” never healed anyone. Only sitting alone with God does that. In those quiet, still, unhurried spaces with Him is where you will find what’s truly inside-the healthy and unhealthy- and you can process those things in His presence. Time alone with Him is where He will call the giftings out of you; the things He placed inside of you before you were even born. There are no shortcuts around the presence of God.

Success and wholeness are not found in the shallow. They are found in the deep.

You were made for the deep. 🖤

It was truly an honor to minister in my home church last night to wrap up our 30th Anniversary services. Cornerstone Word of Life Church is where God sent me to heal, learn the Word, discover my call to ministry, and equiped me to go!

This message of, “Surrender,” was so strong in my heart.

She chose to heal, chose to let go,

Chose to stand up, chose to be ridiculed,

Chose to love, chose to forgive,

Chose to be free instead of choosing to be bitter,

Chose to not quit, chose to keep growing.

Sometimes it’s easier to see the bad in ourselves than the good. Easier to point out where we messed up than where we got it right. Easier to tear ourselves down than build ourselves up.

Speaking truth over ourselves is a holy, needful thing because, when we do, we get in agreement with what God says about us.

Choose HIS view of you.

God has a way of recycling our worst pain into the most beautiful stories when we leave the pen in His hands.

Keep trusting HIM.

Do not put your trust in humans.
Do not rest your souls in temporary fixes.
Quit leaning on things not strong enough to hold your weight.
You were never meant to be your own Savior.

Amen.

I know that so many of us are praying on this “day of rage”…

As I was in prayer myself, there was a powerful yet comforting image that came to me.

Two swords.

One was The Name.
The other was The Blood.

In front and behind were Angels that are sent out by our command.

As it has been said, “during this shaking,
you and I are NOT to be shaken.”

This is a time to use the sword of that Name that is above all names.

This is a time to use the sword of His Blood that is power and our protection.

This is the time to use our authority to send out the Angels of the armies of heaven.

Stay strong and vigilant… He is saying, “Eyes on Me.”

You know you are operating in powerlessness when you spend more of your energy thinking of what OTHER people need to do rather than choosing what YOU are going to do.

You think your happiness and choices are dependent on “them” acting right, changing, getting better, etc.

But what if you decided to make choices for yourself regardless of what they choose to do or not do?

What if you decided to use your God-given power? 💥
