Let Go, Let God
I move to the rhythm of life as I let go and let God.

As I look over my life, I can recall instances when working toward a goal was the right thing to do. I can also recall times when the wisest move was to step back and allow events to unfold.
This rhythm has played out many times over the years.
Paying attention to my intuition and moving in rhythm with life help me discern when I should push forward and when I should wait patiently.
After all, if I rely on my effort alone, there won’t be room for divine order to unfold.

However, if I remain passive, I might miss opportunities to act. Living in harmony with life and cooperating with the Divine within is the key.
I do my work in the world and trust God within to lead me to the right opportuni- ties at the perfect time.

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.—Exodus 14:14

Friendly
I prosper in friendship when I am friendly.

The world can be a lonely place. Modern conveniences and busy schedules can lead to isolation and loneliness.

But I’ve heard it said that the best way to have a friend is to be one. Today I take these wise words to heart and greet others in a spirit of welcome and friendship. For an effort that requires so little from me, the rewards are great. A smile, a little conversation, even a kindness such as holding a door for someone behind me, are just some ways to be friendly. Helping someone feel seen and valued may even lead to an authentic friendship.

Being friendly is a way of blessing the world one person at a time. It is how I can stave off loneliness for myself and others and expand my experience of the world.

Some friends play at friendship but a true friend sticks closer than one’s nearest kin.—Proverbs 18:24
