It's Friday and we have a hot day with severe thunderstorm risk late this afternoon into tonight. A cold front moving through brings dry weather and sunshine over the weekend and a perfect Father's Day. Next week as the las days of spring winds down, we have a long duration heatwave which starts Monday. We could see highs reaching the mid 90s to near 100 degrees by next Wednesday and Thursday.
