From the Greensboro sit-ins in 1960 to the BLM movement in 2020 onward, high-school students have been at the forefront of radical change. As we recite the stories of revolutionaries, we rarely hear the songs of those who are non-male; x lesser so, those of young Black femmes, women, x non-binary people. We are showing all sides of the revolution x highlighting 3 activists .isis, , x who are risking it all for our freedom!

Bruhhh this right here is so special. We don’t even have the words for what .isis x brought to RAW Convos. These girls are stepping on necks for the freedom of our communities x have no plans of stopping.

Y’all won’t get it until you see it. This convo was spiritual. We’re dropping it to y’all in 2 parts because we couldn’t cut anything they said.

Give these queens all your vibrational energy, attention, x support because they’re putting it all on the line for our survival. This is a love letter to Black people and the girls, femmes, non-binary, x non-cis fighters behind the movement ✊🏾✨

Sorry for the inconvenience, we’re trying to change the world.

found her voice through activism and hasn't looked back. She organized the largest protest in her hometown, as well as, two other Black Lives Matter events with her team . The group received funding from City Council to paint a BLM mural downtown and host an awareness event for 100s of their neighbors.

Despite the support and approval, the group was antagonized by racist neighbors who refused to accept a public statement that Black lives matter and attempted to call the police and later defaced the mural to say, "ALL Lives Matter". The mural was restored and refuses to let up her fight for freedom.

We raise our collective voices every day of the year so the world knows we're here however we choose to be. How we choose to show up, and IF we choose to show up, are up to us and not public opinion.
