MMM2.0nline Parsing what's important to you from the other BS on Facebook since 2016. Welcome to Michigan Movie Media 2.0. Why 2.0? We have very few other alternatives.
(16)

Launched on July 4th–which was our way of striking a blow for Independence. We felt it was time to take MMM to the next level. With this we will focus almost exclusively on Michigan’s independent film industry. With a crushing defeat and politically motivated cessation of Michigan’s film incentives, the number of BIG tent pole productions, with the exception of a few which were signed to produce

here prior to this fateful day, have simply dried up. Although this was disheartening for many who were looking forward to pursuing careers in the film industry, with many leaving for what they perceived as greener pastures, the heartiest of Michigan’s filmmakers decided to simply dig in and start producing their own movies, whether shorts or features. Many of these, to Michigan’s film making community’s credit have proven to be very high level, with many receiving accolades from film festivals throughout the world. The selection of these films by international film festivals, paneled by expert judges is one of the highest complements that Michigan’s independent filmmakers could receive, with many decorating the posters they have created for each production with many laurel wreaths. Go Michigan film industry, Michigan filmmakers, actors/actresses, all involved. What plans do we have for Michigan Movie Media 2.0? MMM2.Online is going to be an evolving entity. We have plans of continuing to present news as it breaks, but with a exploration and focus on video and podcasting, and other new technologies. We will present articles on and interviews with Michigan’s filmmakers, and on subjects relevant to and of interest to our growing readership. Now let’s make some noise. Let’s make it known that Michigan has a film industry and we are dedicate to be producing films which will make our presence known. We are Michigan’s film industry. .”
