There's still a few spaces left for Mythical Beasts Collage ~ Saturday, January 4th at 10:30am. Create a mythical creature using a collage of colorful materials, then take it home to display! Attendees may choose one of these four creatures. Staff will contact registrants to find out which one you'd like to create: Dirawong: the protective lizard of dreams ~ Bhoot: a shape-shifting owl with iridescent feathers and sparkling eyes ~ Ymir: the frost giant ~ Fairies: delicate beings that inhabit forests and woodlands. Suitable for ages 6 and up. Join us for our first adult movie night, with a screening of Thelma! ~ Wednesday, January 8th at 6:00pm. When 93-year-old Thelma Post gets duped by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson, she sets out on a treacherous quest across the city to reclaim what was taken from her. We will be meeting in the adult reading area after the library closes at 6:00. The run time of the movie is 1 hour and 40 minutes. Older children and teens are welcome to attend.
