Western Australia is awesome.

I never expected to be so impressed by how amazing it is in Western Australia. From the weather and climate to the different types of ecosystems that neighbor each other, it really is unique in its own right.

From beautiful beaches to wide flatlands, traveling through this area is like going through warp zones and being thrown into an unexpected areas within a few minutes drive.

I definitely plan to be back to further explore. For now, enjoy these handful of pictures that capture the majestic nature of Western Australia.

What A Trip.

This is a road trip that I've been thinking about and talking about for a very long time. I was finally able to complete it. This journey which took me through Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and back to California spanned 10 days as I passed through the following places:

Zion National Park
Horseshoe Bend
Antelope Canyon
Grand Canyon National Park
Sedona
Joshua Tree National Park

I did my best to capture the majesty of these areas, but these pictures still pale in comparison to the real thing. Pictures do zero justice. These places must be experienced.

The scenery throughout this trip was jaw-dropping. Even on drives between one destination to the next, the roadside views were incredibly picturesque. I took many photos but have picked out the ones that stand out the most.

Go. Make time. Get out there and soak in that natural beauty.

Monumental.

The recent rainstorms have done very well for these mountains. They are covered in orange poppies, purple phacelia, and yellow daisies which create a spectacular scene.

Locals were saying that the Superbloom was at its peak about a week ago. People are flocking to the area just to catch the Superbloom before it fades away.

Enjoy the pictures, but I definitely recommend going to catch the live show.

The adventures of Nina and Ian hit a MAJOR milestone on this night. June 4th is already a date of celebration as it marks Nina's birthday. Now it goes into their personal history book as the day they got engaged.

Nina was clueless about anything even after her birthday dessert was placed in front of her. It had "Marry Me" on it scribbled in runny caramel. Until that moment, it was supposed to be just another great birthday celebration. Surrounded by close friends singing "Happy Birthday", Ian dropped to a knee and shocked Nina to tears of disbelief and joy. She said yes and at that moment it transitioned into a celebration of their future together.

Congratulations again to both of you, Nina and Ian.
Words fail to describe how happy I am for you both.

I was honored and grateful to be part of this special day for my friend Bruce and his new fiancee Liz. What began for Liz as a nice hike with friends suddenly turned into a surprise proposal. Congratulations to both of you and wish you all the best in your adventures together. Cheers!

A *VERY special day. I was asked to shoot the moment Paul proposed to Kristine. She not only got a ring but also a Maltipoo puppy as well! So happy for these two and wish them nothing but the best!

i was invited out to attend a very special evening event which raised proceeds to benefit and support THE ROAD's upcoming 2014-2015 season. 7-time Emmy Award winning actor Ed Asner celebrated his 85th birthday. 5-time Emmy Award winning actress Doris Roberts was present as well. Robert Ray Shafer was the appointed Celebrity Auctioneer. Many other famous faces were in attendance as well to celebrate and support. Gourmet food prepared by Chef Tiffany Kim, select sake poured by Sommelier Alice Hama, and wine was provided by local winemakers/distributors. A fun night with great people!

This special invite-only event showcased special aged Rioja wines from Spain. Those who attended were treated to rare and old vintages reaching all the way back to 1976. Combined with the great ambiance, fellow wine-lovers, and delicious food, this was an incredible exclusive event.

LearnAboutWine held their Stars of Santa Barbara event at the Peninsula Hotel again this year. Some of the best wines in the world are made in Santa Barbara. It brought out a great crowd who enjoyed learning about the new releases and rediscovering old favorites.
