Balin Miller era, a sus 23 años de edad, una de las más brillantes promesas del alpinismo estadounidense. El joven natural de Alaska vio truncada su vida el miércoles 1 de octubre en un accidente de escalada en El Capitan (Yosemite). Falleció a raíz de una caída al vacío desde más de 700 metros de altura.

𝐂𝐡𝐨 𝐎𝐲𝐮 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 2025:

We are super excited 🤩 to share that Ms Anna Katharina Ott from Germany and Ngima Dorjee Sherpa, part of Imagine Nepal’s Cho Oyu Expedition 2025 group, successfully reached the summit of Cho Oyu today, October 1, 2025, at 11:25 AM local time. This peak stands at 8,201 meters above sea level.

The two climbers executed an impressive ascent of Cho Oyu, having crossed the border on September 26, 2025, and reached the summit in just six days. Prior to this, on September 21, Ms Anna and Ngima successfully summited Manaslu.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to both of them and wish them a safe descent.

Summit Success on Manaslu

Huge congratulations to our first group for their successful summit of Manaslu on 26th September, with an incredible 26 climbers reaching the summit. The team stood on top this morning and is now making their way safely back to Base Camp.

We are incredibly proud of each member for achieving this incredible milestone. For many, this marks their first step into the 8000m peaks, unlocking even greater possibilities ahead—including the roof of the world itself. Everyone has their own goals, and we wish them the very best for all their future mountain journeys.

Thank you for trusting and choosing to be part of your adventure. We look forward to seeing you again in the big mountains. Stay tuned for more updates and results from Team B!

¡Carlos Soria llega a la cumbre del Manaslu 50 años después! Con 86 años el alpinista español logra hollar la cima en una jornada emocionante. El objetivo ahora es llegar al Campo 2 para descansar y mañana regresar al Campo Base.

Las famosas cholitas escaladoras alcanzaron una nueva meta, pues lograron llegar a la cima del Mont Blanc (4.800 metros sobre el nivel del mar). Las fotografías de la tricolor boliviana ondeando en lo alto de la montaña ubicada en los Alpes son prueba de su espíritu indomable.

Próximamente estas valientes mujeres regresarán a la cima del Huayna Potosí y luego continuarán su preparación con miras a ir hasta Nepal para escalar la montaña Cho Oyu o Manaslu, lo harían posiblemente el siguiente año.

Born on this day, 1939.09.22; Junko Tabei, Japanese climber, who in 1975 was the first woman, who ascended Everest. She also ascended Sh**ha Pangma in 1981 and Cho Oyu in 1996. In 1992 she finished the Carstensz- and Kosciuszko-versions of the 7 Summits.
