Even if all you need is a card please go via an indie shop - that money goes directly into your local community and if you are skint do like, share and save their social media, tell your mates - they’ll love you for it!-Queenie

I really want to start my own email marketing list. I’ve read up on it, in theory I know what I’m doing but in practice, well let’s just say it’s going to be interesting. I’m planning the emails to be very much a postcard from the place where I have prints - with a bit of “you can find me here” and “this is what I’m up to”. It was a real treat to visit on Downing Street, Farnham today. It’s such a fab treasure trove of a shop full of creative and small businesses products. They are also *whoop whoop* stocking my Farnham products! They have A4 prints, art towels, magnets and postcards (swipe through to see their window). This is one of my art towels and shows my gorgeous Dorking, Surrey design. I took the original image looking over Dorking with the temple behind me, I love that you can see the church and this close up shows the zings of colour - it’s all in the details! I’m often asked about the process of creating my prints - I thought I’d choose one of my recent ones to give you an example! This is Pulteney Bridge in Bath, Somerset and an absolutely glorious view. Usually I visit places, take photos and choose my favourite then mess with it e.g. I take out bins (can’t think why people don’t like them). -Queenie.

2024 has so far been about being brave and getting my brand into brick and mortar stores. This has also meant looking into the possibility of new products (hello magnets!). I’m also really wanting to learn some new skills and would love to delve into surface pattern design, maybe challenge myself by giving some talks and possibly mentoring and then oooo I’d like to …. and can you see my problem? I’m taking part in and the next post is | in this world of automation and the feeling of being removed from “real” people I can confirm I’m human! It’s just me running this small business (with some “help” from my lovely dog). Recently one of my reviews said “…this seller knows love and it was special to be on the receiving end of it” - it made me so happy and emotional to think someone thought that. So, yes, just to confirm, I’m absolutely human! Ps thank you Lou who bought the Surbiton print xx.
