Recently, during one of our coaching calls inside The Simplified Social, one of our members asked for clarity on what to post on LinkedIn vs. Facebook, and how to balance content between personal and business pages. It’s a great question because knowing where to post is just as important as knowing what to post!

When it comes to LinkedIn and Facebook, knowing where to post your content can make a big difference. Here’s a quick breakdown to help guide you through the process if you have a similar question.

➡️LinkedIn: Personal vs. Company Page
If you have a small team, focus more on your personal profile rather than your company page. While you should still create and optimize a company page, it doesn’t need tons of content. Your personal profile is where you should share the majority of your posts, build connections, and engage with your audience. For personal posts, share your experiences and insights directly. If you're posting on the company page, focus on broader content that highlights team members or the business as a whole.

➡️Facebook: Personal vs. Business Page
For Facebook, your Business Page should be the primary place for posting about your business. Share those posts on your personal page if friends and family are part of your target audience, but avoid overwhelming your personal followers with too much business content if they're not. Your personal page can still include occasional business updates, but your Business Page should remain the central hub for all things related to your company.

By following these guidelines, you'll ensure your content reaches the right people on the right platform!

If you have gotten this pop up on Facebook, do not stress! Facebook Protect is essentially a security feature aimed at users who might be at higher risk of hacking attempts, like public figures, people with a large online following or associated with a business page. What it does is pretty straightforward – it helps enhance your account's security settings, encouraging you to enable two-factor authentication, which significantly ups your defense against unauthorized access.

So go ahead and click next and set that up!

Now, if you get an email from Facebook about activating Facebook Protect, it's crucial to verify it's genuinely from [email protected]. Facebook wouldn't ask for your password or send you dubious links through these communications. Always be cautious and check the sender's email address if you receive such a notification.

Even if you haven't been prompted to activate Facebook Protect, it doesn't mean you can't improve your account's security on your own. Setting up two-factor authentication is a always wise move!
