Slipknot have sold a majority stake of their catalog to HarbourView Equity Partners in a deal reported to be worth around $120 million. The agreement covers both publishing and recorded royalties and marks a major shift for a band whose nearly 30-year career includes platinum records, Billboard-topping albums, and 11 Grammy nominations.
Michael “Clown” Crahan called the partnership a move toward expanding the band’s legacy, while HarbourView described Slipknot’s catalog as a cornerstone of modern heavy music.
