Basic Authentic Blogger Membership Guidelines:
The officers of Authentic Blogger reserve the right to deny or delete content that we feel violates the spirit of this community. Please do not post marketing, advertising, sales or multi-level / network marketing sales posts on our wall. If that is the content of your blog, we suggest sourcing other Facebook groups for that type of activity. We wish to provide a safe community for our members that is free of sales approaches. *ALL spam and sales links will be deleted from the AB wall.*
2. We do not allow profanity of ANY kind to be posted in blog form on our wall. We have fairly flexible guidelines for Authentic Blogger membership, but one of the primary ones is that all members keep their posts "clean", or profanity free. If the content of your blog contains profanity, or potentially controversial content such as nudity, violent images, etc., we ask that you write a warning/disclosure blurb when you post it on our wall so that anyone clicking to read that blog has fair warning. *Some bloggers choose to implement an adult content filter on their blog, and this is appreciated, as it gives readers a head's up on the content they will be reading for that blog.*
We're not about being overly controlling censors for our members, but we will not allow profanity to be posted. If your blog title contains profanity, your link will be removed & we will send you a private email addressing the issue. Thank you in advance for complying with our guidelines.
3. Authentic Blogger is an English speaking/writing community. Please post your blogs in this language, or offer a translation tool for readers to click and be able to read your blog in the English language. There are a wide variety of blogging groups that make this same request to post in their preferred language, so we feel this is a fair request.
4. Be cordial and friendly within the Authentic Blogger community. Remember that reciprocation is key to building your own readership and following. Reading blogs and leaving sincere comments will result in people returning that same action on your own blog.
5. To ensure everyone has a fair chance to get their blog ad viewed plus to keep the group constructive, please refrain from over-posting your blog ad... twice daily is sufficient. Please also refrain from posting ads such as "Follow Me and I'll Follow You" or "Follow Me on Twitter" etc as your main wall post… please use the "comments" section on your blog ad to do this. PLEASE NOTE: To avoid comment spam and because group members will automatically follow your blog if they find it of interest (genuine followers), excessive use of "Follow Me" posts or the posting of blog links are not permitted on the group.
6. If you are interested in mentoring new bloggers, post a comment on our wall or on our Discussion Board topic of Mentor New Bloggers.
7. We have always been a blogging group open to cross-promoting with other blogging websites/groups. You are welcome to promote your group on the AB wall, but we do ask that this is kept to a sane level, and we would appreciate you extending professional courtesy and asking permission FIRST, via private email to one of the admins of Authentic Blogger. We also ask that if you post links for your group on our wall, you take time to post the AB group link on your wall in return. This keeps the reciprocation going and both parties benefit as a result. *We reserve the right to monitor this type of activity and delete posts that violate the spirit of this rule.*
