Fani Willis Is A DISGRACE - So Do Black Women STILL SUPPORT HER?!?
Fani's pyrrhic victory! With Judge Scott McAfee's "coming down the middle ruling" last week, declaring that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis could remain on the historic Donald Trump Georgia 2020 election trial but her special prosecutor and lover Nathan Wade had to step down, tensions remain high in the Peachtree State and beyond. Everyone in the country is rightly transfixed on this trial and what it could mean for Americans moving forward, and rightly so. But it would appear that many Black women are ten toes down in their support of Willis, and they do so along gender and racial lines - arguing that there is a "conspiracy" to oust prominent Black women on the grounds of racism and sexism - all the while, completely ignoring the very real lapses in judgment, habitual mendacity and in the case of Willis in particular, her in your face defiant hypocrisy (Willis ran on a platform of anti-nepotism and fraternization in her office - look how that turned out). What Do "Galentine's Day", Princella Clark & "Stay At Home Girlfriends" Have In Common?
With the Black marital rate being the lowest for all racial and ethnic groups in America - and projected to fall even further as the Black Millennials move through their prime mating years - there's been a serious sense of anxiety among Black folk, particularly on social media. Relationship fare abounds, from "boy/girl" oriented panel shows, to self-proclaimed "experts" of varying stripe, Black male and Black female alike, inveighing with their hot takes on what went wrong with Black Love. For their part, the flagging efforts of Modern Black Feminists have taken things to their most logical conclusion with their illogical claims - hence "Galentine's Day" - an effort to shore up the butthurt egos of Lonely, Desperate, Horny & Mad ladies.
But, no matter how much lipstick you put on a pig, in the end, it's still a pig.
Meanwhile - and much to the chagrin of Modern Black Feminists like Kimberly Nicole Foster(!) - the younger ladies of the Generation Z cohort are not having the "Galentine" rap - instead, they're very much looking to be cared for and taken care of - and are willing to be "stay at home girlfriends" to do it. They're not only living proof of just how impermanent Modern Black Feminism actually is, since by their very actions they have rejected the "I'm strong, independent and don't need no man" line - but they have also borne out the primacy of our Biological Imperative on this mortal plane: To pair off and mate with someone of value, and who values you.
