🚧 Indiana Bacon Festival STREET CLOSURE INFORMATION 🚧
Starting at 5:00 P.M. Friday, Main Street and Washington Street will close at the stop light. Closures will then continue covering the festival parameter, as in previous years.
North Union Street will close from Main St. to Franklin St early Saturday morning.

eastern Tippecanoe, Clinton and western Howard Counties through 100
AM EDT...

At 1235 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lafayette, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lafayette, Frankfort, Rossville, Dayton, Mulberry, Russiaville,
Kirklin, Clarks Hill, Burlington, and Michigantown.

This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 154 and 173.

ROAD CLOSURE - State Road 218 in Carroll County

INDOT maintenance crews will be conducting seal coating operations resulting in a road closure on State Road 218 between State Road 25 and State Road 75 during daytime work hours for approximately two days beginning on or after Monday, August 19.

Through traffic should utilize the detour of State Road 25, U.S. 421, State Road 18 and State Road 75 or seek an alternate route. Local traffic should exercise caution and follow traffic directions carefully in the area where work is occurring. This work is weather dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.

northern Putnam Counties through NOON EDT...

At 1132 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Delphi to 12 miles southwest of Frankfort
to 10 miles south of Crawfordsville. Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Tippecanoe River near Delphi. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette. Wabash River at Montezuma. Wabash River at Covington. .Recent rainfall over the past few days following heavy rain last week has led to renewed minor flooding for a few areas on the Tippecanoe and Upper Wabash River. Additional rainfall tonight and Tuesday has the potential to make crests higher than currently forecast and extend the duration of flooding, as well as bring flooding further down the Wabash and into additional basins. Those with interests along area rivers should monitor forecast updates for the latest information.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Tippecanoe River near Delphi.

* IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Extensive lowland flooding in progress.
Additional local roads begin to flood. Water levels becoming
dangerous as property damage may begin and a few evacuations may
be necessary.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM EDT Monday the stage was 8.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 PM EDT Monday was 8.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.3
feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
