🖤 Self Love and Self Acceptance🖤

Over the past few weeks, I have been talking about how I’ve been learning to love all of me for me. Healing, forgiving, and accepting that my past traumas need to be dealt with, is something that I am still working on. I’ve been in therapy for a year now, and the different techniques that were suggested have helped me tremendously. I still have hiccups, but I try to hold myself accountable by snitching on myself to my therapist (like a lot) lol.

I shared all this to say, that for the first time in my life, I’m finally understanding why self love is the best love. When you love yourself, you’re able to fully and truly love others like they deserve to be loved. Most people say they love everyone else, and not themselves bc that’s how they are. I say that it’s bc people are afraid to accept that they may have flaws, and it’s ok. True Self Love breaks you free from that. Well at least from my experience. Took a long ass time, but I’m progressing, and I’m loving me now.
