VIDEO: Hon. Suleiman Yusuf Flags Off Re-Construction Of Idi-Araba Ultra Modern Market In Surulere LGA Lagos State

The Executive Chairman of Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos State, Hon Suleiman Bamidele Yusuf has officially flagged-off the multi-million naira Re-construction of Idi-Araba Ultra Modern Market in Surulere LGA, on Thursday, May 9th 2024, promising that it will be completed within 12 months.

Speaking at the site shortly before laying the foundation stone of the building, the council chairman thanked the host community (Idi-Araba Community) and the market traders of their support and cooperation towards the realization of the dream project and promised to complete and commission the project within one year.

He also extended his appreciation to the area council of chief's and Iya Oloja for their support for the project.

He stated that he's following the foot-steps of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief Of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in areas of infrastructural development of Surulere LGA, and appreciates the community for the maximum cooperation giving to the contractor by ensuring a Peaceful coexistence among themselves. He also promised the traders that, he will ensure that the allottees of the old market will be attended to first before any other person.

The council chairman further disclosed that the project when completed will take care of the street trading menace in the area and as well uplift the face of the market inline with the newly built Housing Estate in the neighborhood.

The Idi-Araba Ultra Modern Market market would not only boost trade in the Surulere LGA and Lagos state, but also help to stimulate Nigeria ailing economy.

The Market project will house a large numbers of lock up shops and open shops.

The market will be equipped with modern facilities, includes ample parking space, facility management, street lights, 24/7 power supply, good road network, water supply, 24hrs Security with perimeter fencing, public toilet facilities, Banking Hall facilities, warehouses for small / big distributors of companies products etc.

The market would provide a conducive trading environment for small and medium-scale entrepreneurs.

In their goodwill messages, the Idi-Araba communities and market traders, all agreed in their separate speeches that the chairman has embarked on people-oriented project which will benefit all and sundry irrespective of their party leanings.

They also agreed that Hon. Suleiman Bamidele Yusuf, had performed beyond expectation due to his leadership style which they noted, had convinced even his political enemies.

They prayed for more grace and strength for the chairman to continue to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people and residents of Surulere LGA.

Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, Others Attends Lagos State Ministerial Press Briefing

Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Housing, attended the Lagos State Government's Ministerial Press Briefing for the Ministry of Housing, held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja. The briefing marked the first year of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second term in office.

During the session, Barr. Barakat reiterated the efforts of LASRERA in combating the fraudulent activities of unregistered real estate agents in Lagos State. LASRERA is diligently working to assure potential investors, including those in the diaspora, that investing in real estate in Lagos is safe. However, she emphasized the importance of dealing only with registered agents in Lagos.

Addressing concerns about illegal land sales in the Ibeju-Lekki axis, Barr. Barakat advised individuals to verify an agent's registration status on www.lasrera.lagosstate.gov.ng before engaging in any transactions. She encouraged agents to register to gain access to practicing real estate in Lagos State, noting that penalties have been imposed on about 35 agents, with ongoing court cases for others.

Regarding the partnership between EFCC and LASRERA, Barr. Barakat emphasized its significance, citing EFCC's legal establishment and LASRERA's mandate to collaborate with law enforcement agencies.

Responding to questions about the tenancy law in Lagos State, the Special Adviser clarified that the law protects both tenants and landlords, fostering confidence and encouraging investment in the sector.
Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, the Commissioner for Housing, emphasized ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Justice to expedite property-related court cases and instill confidence in investors.

Award is a means to show appreciation to people who have dedicated their resources and time in serving the Almighty God and Humanity or for Excellent Performance.

19th of April 2024 marked another day of Meritorious Award given to Hon. Kenneth Udoye, SSA to Surulere LGA Chairman on Chieftaincy and Religious Matters by TrisoNet Metaverse Community. A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), based in Lagos state Nigeria.

The President of the organisation Mr. Happiness Etuk, lauded Hon. Kenneth Udoye, for his excellent performance, dedication and commitment in ensuring that TrisoNet Metaverse Community sponsored the less privileged children to school.
He explained that the only way to appreciate hard work, good performance, and commitment is to initiate an award to celebrate and honour the distinguished achiever who contributed immensely to make an organisation achieve their goals.

High Chief Kenneth Uzoigwe Felicitates With Catholic Women On The Occasion Of Mothering Sunday, Describes Them As Guardian Angel

As the Catholic women all over the world celebrate this year's Mothering Sunday, i extend very warm felicitations to all Catholic women on this special occasion of Mother's Sunday.

The roles mother's plays in the society can never be overemphasized, in making sure we have a better society at large.
We never forget our childhood and the unconditional love that our mothers showered on us. They are our world, our rainbow after the storm. The brightest stars are all in your eyes! When they carried us in their womb, gave birth to us when we had a beating heart and soul at that moment. They were like a guiding angel who had taken care of us. They deserve the best!

I urged the Catholic women to emulate the Biblical virtuous women like Esther, Mary and Martha as well as Dorcas and Ruth among others and also to shun acts capable of smearing their reputation as Christian Mother's but to uphold those virtues that glorify God.

I called on Father's to continue to provide adequate security, love and care for their wives and join hands with them in building peaceful and progressive homes.

I want to use this special occasion of 2024 Eid-el Fitr celebration to felicitate with all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Surulere Federal Constituency1 and 2 over the successful completion of 2024 Ramadan fasting.

I also want to specially felicitate with our supreme leader and my boss Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila the Chief Of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the relative peace and tranquility that currently permeate the entire Surulere Constituency1 and 2, making our Christian brothers and sisters to celebrate Easter and our Muslim brothers and sisters to celebrate 2024 Eid-el Fitr with peace of mind, happiness and smile.

Islam is a religion of peace that upholds the values of tolerance and mutual coexistence without a place for hatred and violence. Let us be united in all that we do now and always, let us show love and be generous because we are passing through economic crisis and Insecurity in our land and with God everything is going to be fine again.

Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare Hosts Annual Ramadan Lecture/Prayer

It was a memorable day on Sunday 7th of April 2024, as people trooped out en masses as Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, the Special Adviser On Housing to Lagos State Government Hosted an Annual Ramadan Lecture/Prayer in conjunction with Council Of Chief Imams Of Surulere LGA Lagos State, with the Theme " The Reward For Goodness"

The event, was held at 21 Karimu Street Ojuelegba Surulere LGA, Lagos state, brought together a diverse array of personalities from various spheres of public service, Religious leaders, political Associates and community Representatives. Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, known for her commitment to public service and Humanity, used the occasion to reflect on the importance of unity, peace, faith and love during the holy month of Ramadan.

Overall, the Guest Lecturer Barr. Ghazal Adepoju, the Chief Imam Iponri Central Mosque Surulere LGA, lecture shed more light as cited in the Holy Quran 4:36, on how to, Worship Allah alone and associate none with Him. And be kind to parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, near and distant neighbors, close friends, needy, travelers, and those in your possession.

During the lecture, Barr. Ghazal Adepoju The Chief Imam, specifically commended Hon. Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, for her outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication. He highlighted her resilience, courage and consistent efforts, which have led to numerous accolades and significant improvements in her office.

The event provided a platform for reflection, enlightenment and spiritual growth, the attendees were inspired by the wisdom shared by the Guest Lecturer, and the event left a lasting impression on all who participated.

The gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) Surulere LGA stakeholders, added vibrant energy to the event, showcasing support and solidarity for Hon. Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare's continued service to the state and the people of Surulere Constituency1.

The presence of the Islamic Clerics, Political Associates, Community Representatives and Title Chiefs added a spiritual and cultural dimension to the occasion.

The event concluded with expression of gratitude, unity, and a reaffirmation of shared values, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and cooperation in advancing the interests of the people and Lagos state.

EASTER GREETINGS FROM HIGH CHIEF KENNETH UZOIGWE (OSIKE1)

It is with Joy, that I send you, my sincere greetings and blessings as we celebrate this Easter season.

It’s the season we remember the compassionate love of God and his gift of peace and salvation to us through the death and resurrection of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

May this period bring us to deep reflections and appreciation of God’s love for mankind. May we find reasons to draw closer to God and continue to experience his gracious love in exceedingly abundant measures.

I hope we take the time to reflect on the many blessings in our lives, as we come together to celebrate love, peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

I pray us all to remember to intercede for our country, our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all our political leaders, that it may be well with us and generations after us.

Despite, the challenges that this year has brought especially on our economy, insecurity and our livelihoods, still our trust and confidence is in God. Therefore, let us rejoice and be courage, and lift up our eyes to the hill from whence our help cometh from the Lord, the maker of the heavens and the earth.

May this Easter bring us hope, joy, peace as we join families and friends across our beloved country, to remember the marvellous gift, the Son of God, who is our eternal hope and Prince of Peace.

DAY 2- VIDEO: Ramadan: Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare Distributes Food Items And Cash Gifts, To Communities In Surulere LGA, Seek Support For Sanwo-Olu And Lagos State Government

In fulfillment of the Islamic injunctions, Hon. Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, the Special Adviser On Housing to Lagos State Government, has given food items and cash gifts as supplements on Ramadan to the less privilege and elderly people in all the NINE WARDS within the Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos state.

The food items and cash gifts were distributed to strategic locations for the general public and All Progressives Congress (APC), party faithfuls.

The distribution of the Ramadan gifts started on Saturday 16th of March 2024, to all the NINE WARDS in Surulere Federal Constituency1, mentioned by the SA on Housing to Lagos state government as part of her unrellented efforts to ensure that her people enjoy dividends of democracy.

When asked on why she decided to extend the gesture to the people, *Hon. Barakat*, said the food materials and cash gifts would serve as supplements to ease the financial burden of Muslims faithfuls during this holy month, thus, make Ramadan comfortable for them.

She therefore enjoined Muslims to use the holy month to pray for Governor Sanwo-Olu, continued progress and development of the Lagos State and also to pray for peace and unity of Nigeria.

DAY 1- VIDEO: Ramadan: Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare Distributes Food Items And Cash Gifts, To Communities In Surulere LGA, Seek Support For Sanwo-Olu And Lagos State Government

In fulfillment of the Islamic injunctions, Hon. Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, the Special Adviser On Housing to Lagos State Government, has given food items and cash gifts as supplements on Ramadan to the less privilege and elderly people in all the NINE WARDS within the Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos state.

The food items and cash gifts were distributed to strategic locations for the general public and All Progressives Congress (APC), party faithfuls.

The distribution of the Ramadan gifts started on Saturday 16th of March 2024, to all the NINE WARDS in Surulere Federal Constituency1, mentioned by the SA on Housing to Lagos state government as part of her unrellented efforts to ensure that her people enjoy dividends of democracy.

When asked on why she decided to extend the gesture to the people, *Hon. Barakat*, said the food materials and cash gifts would serve as supplements to ease the financial burden of Muslims faithfuls during this holy month, thus, make Ramadan comfortable for them.

She therefore enjoined Muslims to use the holy month to pray for Governor Sanwo-Olu, continued progress and development of the Lagos State and also to pray for peace and unity of Nigeria.
