Today marks a monumental chapter in NASA Rallycross history as we introduce the brand-new Futures series—a direct feeder series designed to discover and develop the next generation of rallycross stars. Sonoma Raceway serves as the thrilling backdrop for this inaugural event, where the top five finishers will earn their ticket to the prestigious NASA Rallycross Lites series, now entering its fifth competitive season.

Last week at Watkins Glen, Jean McCluan put on a dominating performance, putting one hand firmly on the championship trophy. Dan Cariddo now faces a daunting points deficit and will need a miracle to keep his title hopes alive. In the Am category, Justin Richie made an unforgettable debut, stealing the show with a victory and an overall podium finish. Like his teammate Cariddo, Lucas Hill also needs a miracle to overcome the Am class points gap. Track limits are sure to be an issue, especially with the huge amounts of runoff on the final two corners. We gear up for this summer showdown in the stunning Styrian Mountains of Spielberg, Austria. In the Am category, Ian Bakaitis emerged victorious after a hard-fought battle with several competitors. This week, we return to the United States and the regular 45-minute race format at Road America. Last week in Germany, Brian Coxen pulled away from the field and made history as the first Am class driver to win overall, while Rob Ferretti took the victory in the Pro category. It was a tough race for Jean McCluan and Edgar Ruiz, who both struggled on the Nürburgring's legendary Grand Prix configuration.
