Well hello there and allow us to welcome you to our corner of the internet and in particular our movie podcast (not too many of those I know) hosted by myself (Elwood) and my co-host Kim who I’ve been podcasting with since we started the Video Games wing of ThatMomentIn.com better known as “Game Warp“.
So why start a movie podcast? Well simply put it was movies which first brought us together back when I invited Kim onto my previous podcast the “MBDS Showcase” to talk about S.P.L Killzone and Infernal Affairs.
Even though that initial meeting would lead us into working together to review and discuss video games there has always been a large portion of our recording sessions and daily dialogue which is devoted to talking about movies so it seems almost inevitable that we would end up creating an outlet for our movie obsessions and hence this podcast was born.
So what’s the show about?
Well simply put it’s about film fans getting together and creating the audio experience of that post movie coffee and pie (or tea in our case) discussion as we work through the select filmographies of the directors whose work interests us with each season being dedicated to the work of a different director with this first season being devoted to Paul W.S. Anderson who is no doubt best known for spearheading the Resident Evil franchise and as a result being dismissed by some as being just the director of throwaway video game adaptations and perhaps because of that we felt it was time to revisit his back catalogue and rediscover what else he had to offer as a director.
As such we look forward to you joining us and hopfully hearing your own thoughts on the movies we cover or even movies / directors you like to hear us discuss on future episode.
