Third and final day tasting and retasting these rosés. Report coming soon. The panel found 11 we liked, then came up with a final four. Ultimately we couldn’t pick one “winner” but we narrowed it to two. Stay tuned.

“Paumanok Vineyards 2021 Grand Vintage Cabernet Franc ($65*) was good on day one. Not a surprise. Winemaker Kareem Massoud is one of Long Island’s best. But it was tightly wound and not particularly giving or expressive. It was a bit more flavorful and complex on day two, but by day three it was a beautiful representation of North Fork of Long Island AVA cabernet franc.
