There’s a new episode out on the podcast today. It’s one of my favorite parables told by Jesus. The prodigal son illustrates what kind of God we serve. He’s a God who not only rejoices when the lost are found, but He’s a Father who actively waits and watches and desires and draws us to Himself. I can’t get over the picture of the Father in this parable. This is the picture that Jesus chose to describe God as. Of all the ways to describe God, He chose the image of a Father watching daily for@His son to return and when he did, the Father didn’t walk, He RAN to meet Him. We may not understand a lot of what happens in this world, but we can know that for certain we have Father who loves us and longs for the most to be found.

The latest episode on the podcast is about the parable of the Great Banquet. The Father has extended an invitation to the Great Banquet and the only way to enter is through His Son, Jesus. While it’s still called today, don’t wait, accept His offer and place your faith in Jesus.

We underestimate the day between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Because on this day, the temptation to despair would have seemed just as great as Good Friday. What do we do now? All is lost. It’s over. BUT IT WASN’T OVER. Hope is a word that Christians get to speak in every situation of their lives because of the promise that God is doing something even when we can’t see it. He is ALWAYS working, even in suffering. We have “deep hope” because we know it’s not the end and all is not lost.

In today’s episode, we learn about two different responses to Jesus. Both the man born blind and the Pharisees came in contact with Jesus. Both saw what the miracles He performed and both heard His testimony and yet both had two completely different responses to Him. How will you respond to Jesus today?
