I recently got to sit in on a discussion panel with Mark Rolston (right, he played Drake, the dude with the big giant mounted gun) and he shared this fun story about the late Bill Paxton. So... him, Paxton, and Lance Henrikson are all real-life buddies, so Henrikson secretly approached Rolston about doing this. They approved it with James Cameron who loves real reactions from his actors. So that scene where Drake forces Hudson's hamd down while Bishop does the knife trick was all unscripted and Paxton's shout and shaky voiced "that wasn't funny man..." was genuine terror lol

He also said they all really got in to creating their characters own background stories which really interested me. As a kid I always saw Drake and Vasquez as a combat-couple. But he said no, they were inmates on a prison planet together, and joining the space marines for high risk missions was a way they got years of their sentencing together. Thas why thy had the noticeable comradiere between them specifically. So a little disappointed my fan theory from 30 years ago was wrong but a fun detail to know!

Thanks to Todd down at Comics Plus Richmond KY for contacting us to cover the first annual RichCity Comic & Pop Con 2018! Lots of great local comics creators on hand to share their books, venders with sweet schwag, and awesome cosplay from the community showed up for the ORCs - Ohio River Valley Cosplayers and Prop Builders #CosplayContest! We've been making Collectibles Etc. Weekly for about 5 years now and sharing these behind the scenes outtakes is always a lot of fun. Our little holiday tradition.
