John Lennon, "Walls & Bridges" LP, 1974😎
Sammy Davis Jr., 1972. When I was a teenager, I'd connect a 1/8"male plug into the radio earphone jack, and the other end into my tape recorder input and record songs off the radio.😎
I wanted to share this with you. Bob Denver, Dawn Wells, and Russell Johnson from Gilligan's Island on Late Night with Tom Snyder. I used to watch both shows. I grew up watching Gilligan's Island .. it was a favorite. 😎
I found an old demo and made this video of it. Generally Facebook with either mute or delete any music I try to post on the grounds of "copyright violation", let's see if they do it with this one. If they do, there will be no audio (music). 😎
Anyone here familiar with the PIRATE RADIO SHIP Radio Nordsee International..? In the UK in the late 60's and early 70's, there were many "Pirate Radio Ships" that would broadcast Rock & Roll music, as the BBC had a monopoly pretty much and would not play Rock & Roll music.
Pirate radio ships had to broadcast from international waters, which meant four miles off the coast. The is an instrumental from Les Reed, "Man Of Action". It was used as the theme music for Radio Nordsee International, broadcasting from the ship, Mebo II.
This is the MAY DAY CALL when they were FIRE BOMBED by the competing pirate ship, Radio Veronica, May 15, 1971. Two days later police arrested Norbert Jurgens, General Manager of Radio Veronica in connection with the attack. The crew of RNI were forced to abandon ship.
The arrest had surprised and shocked Holland, because for more than 10 years, Radio Veronica had cultivated an ultra-respectable business image and, although its broadcasting vessel remained outside territorial waters, the station was generally regarded as being almost part of the Dutch media establishment.
I would have included the entire song, but I'll be lucky if I can get by with the thirty seconds behind RNI's may day. Facistbook and YouBoob have both blocked and muted my videos in the past. I DO OWN the 45 in the video. In fact, this is my copy.

Wolfman Jack in San Diego, interviewed by Bob Mills, 1973. "The Midnight Special" and "American Graffiti".
This is a personal favorite of mine. I'm also a fan of Be-Bop and Jazz. This was used as a filler piece during drive-in theatre Intermissions. Taken from 35mm film, restored. 😎
This is a film clip once used in theatre intermission reels. Here we have a teacher telling us how "healthful, tasty and nutritious" the ice cream is, how "crisp and healthful" the popcorn is, and the dunce telling us that "vitamins keep the bubbles busy" in the soda. Teacher says, "Good the lesson is learned". "Treat yourself to some nutrition"..? I realize these were for fun, but wow, the message!
I have several rolls of these in 35mm film. There was once a defunct drive-in theatre in my area, and one time my brother and I went inside to explore. In the middle of the projection room floor, was a pile of dirt that had been swept up. And in that pile of dirt, I saw these rolls of film. A wooden box mounted to the wall.. there was more.
All the equipment had been removed long ago, and there was absolutely nothing of value remaining. They had quite obviously considered these trash, and so I had brought them home with me. I still have them to this day. My family used to go there when my brother and I were kids.. so these are the very films we had watched in my childhood. 😎
(EDIT: After loading the video to Facebook, I see they've placed a black border on it. They seem to do that on every photo and video I post. I DON'T like it.) But, that's Facebook...
I wish department stores still looked like this for Christmas... Used to, Christmas, even on the secular side, was Christmassy. It was such a special time. Today, everything has become so politically correct, that people seem to have lost interest in Christmas or even forgotten the very meaning of Christmas. Our streets aren't even decorated like they used to be.
I remember stores downtown had Christmas music playing like, Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters singing about streets "dressed in holiday style..", Gene Autry singing "Here's Comes Santa Claus"... There would be silver tinsel across the streets with large multi-colored lights embeded.. large red and white bells, large candy canes.. a blanket of now.. and of course, Jolly saint Nick himself.
Nativity scenes of Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph.. which is what Christmas is really all about... I wonder how many people even know about Jesus, Mary and Joseph? I wonder how many people today even know about Jesus? Or even care? When I was growing up, and probably you as well, the entire Christmas season was very special.
Who says animals have no feelings? I've had some great pets through the years. Turn up your volume a bit. 😎 (Death of The Lion King)
Sure can be frustrating when the other person is "Playing Hard To Get"... I thought you'd find this entertaining. 😎
I thought you'd get a kick out of this.
Sitting around tonight, not much else to do.. so I put this together. 😎
Hardee's Commercial with Wolfman Jack, 1981
Who of you remember watch The Dating Game on TV back in the 60's? Here's the theme song.. performed with a Rock & Roll flavor. One of my favorites.
