Today is the last day to subscribe to the July Bibliophile Intention Box, whether you’re an avid reader or an occasional reader like me.

I created a companion notebook with the Reading Log inserts along with some dot grid inserts to go along with whatever I’m reading at the moment. I like the idea of keeping them together vs adding another section to my planner.

I remember we had a Townhall one year and at the time our VP/Centerhead was a Black woman and I truly admired her. During her speech she reiterated over and over, “Control what YOU can control. Everything else, let it go. It’s not for you to stress about.” I took that advice and applied it not only into my career, but in my personal life. When you STOP trying to control the impossible, life looks a lot better.

You might have noticed I’ve been a little quiet. Or maybe you haven’t 😉 Life has been doing its thing over here. Lots of ebbs and flows. In the midst of it all, I may be STRETCHED, but I’m GRATEFUL! 🙌🏽

Last night I hosted the first-ish monthly planning workshop for 3-6 month subscribers. We had a great time. Nothing formal, just a few hundred planner friends chatting and sharing best practices with our subscription goodies.

Took my FIRST official IT exam yesterday 😑🫠

I didn’t fail, but let’s just say I got humbled REAL QUICK.
Part of my problem is that I have to UNLEARN what I’ve been taught by “on the job” work and learn proper techniques and terms 🙄

I went through the same thing when I took my Excel/Access class. Went in thinking, “this will be a breeze, I’ve been using these programs for decades! I’ve got this!” Baaabay! That first test said, “No you don’t!” 🤣😂🤣😂 Ended that class with an A 💪🏽 once I got out of my own way.

Anyway, just a stumbling block!

How goes it?! July came in and wrecked pure havoc on my day-to-day 💔 and I’m just now trying to get back to some of normalcy. Before anything else, LOVE ON YOUR PEOPLE. We are all here on borrowed time and tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone. Ok… now back to this P L A N N E R. I shared that I’m moving from using the yearly spiral from @cloth_and_paper to using the Dated Academic Inserts. It’s been a while since I’ve used a #halfletter planner but considering I have 5+ covers, it’s kind of a no brainer. Anywho…not a lot of deco, but I am using the monthly dividers (separated by semester), 2 of the tinted dividers, monthly overlays and a few dashboards. Oh, and my discs are 1.5”. #dassit. I think I’m going to like this. 👌🏽 #clothandpapertrail #cpjulychallenge #halfletterdiscs #discboundplanner #academicinserts #planner

Quick ::impromptu:: flip of my @cloth_and_paper A5 spiral planner I’ve been using for my classes. I’m switching things up for SS2 and moving over to the new Dated Academic Inserts that were recently released. This should be an interesting transition as I move from what I’m used to (horizontal weekly) to a vertical layout with a more structured feel. I’m not even gonna hold you long… Every since @this.is.tisa shared this a year or so ago, I knew I wanted one, BUT LIFE! Fast forward, I first met her in person at #GoWildDC where I participated in her workshop, FELL IN LOVE with #blinging, took ANOTHER online workshop and have just been smitten with her creations every since. We met up again last November at the #chicagoplannerconference where we had a little longer, more personal chat. She’s an absolute sweetheart and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her now that she’s doing what she loves FULL TIME! 🎉🎉 Now, why do I love this so much? 1) it’s handmade 2) I’m supporting a small business and 3) it’s made by a Black woman! I thought, 🤔 that’s perfect for my daily #cppetite because I don’t need the 2-page monthly. So here we are… out with the new, in with the new-new!
