While we could see some scattered thunderstorm activity in the morning and early afternoon, chances for scattered severe thunderstorms return Sunday afternoon. This event will likely start out West River moving east towards the James River Valley throughout the afternoon hours with the main threat being large hail. Storms are expected to merge into a line by the early evening hours, switching the main threat to strong damaging winds. Storms will move east of I-29 by the late evening hours, and will be slowly weakening throughout the overnight hours.

Those who have outdoor plans Sunday afternoon/evening and overnight into Monday need to remain weather aware tomorrow, and have a way or two to receive warnings should they be issued.
