Goodbye PHZD, hello NotSoma.

PHZD is an alias I used for a long time, almost 10 years in fact. We started as Phazed but that was short lived as a cover band, who used the same name, reached out to me and politely asked if I could change as they had been building their brand for significantly longer than I had been using the name. This request led me to removing the vowels and becoming PHZD, a name that would come to mean a lot to me.

So why the change in name and rebrand? Well, PHZD didn't really have an image and to new listeners, who didn't know the roots of the name, it wasn't very clear how to pronounce PHZD. Secondly there was the searchability and discoverability of using an obscure combination of consonants.

This change is the result of months of pondering and planning. Finally I am happy to present NotSoma. The music will remain mostly the same but now we have an image.

Goodbye PHZD
