Rebuilding Your Wall means rebuilding your once firm foundation to God - it includes your intimate relationship, your quiet time, your prayer life, and even your vision that once you activated.
Upon rebuilding it, we might hear a lot of negative thoughts from the oppressors or the enemies - just like Sanballat and Tobiah. Upon rebuilding your wall, you will encounter the feeling of unworthiness, too much guilt to the point that you will feel ashamed of drawing closer to God, and thoughts that you might fall back to your old ways or habits - just like Tobiah said.
But Nehemiah and the builders ignored those words of Sanballat and Tobiah. They continue what God had told them to do despite the despised they were receiving.
In our lives, when we are rebuilding our wall we might face a lot of Sanballat and Tobiah. But I believe, you are more than a conqueror. In a world full of Sanballat and Tobiah, be Nehemiah who confidently stands firm on God’s promise to them.
“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome—
—will fight for you!”
