Amoral Beatitudes is a zine themed broadly on intersectionally-aware feminist topics, starting with "new beginnings" for the first issue and "freedom" for the second. I take contributions from friends, colleagues, and others to showcase the talents, narratives and art of those who are creative and thoughtful humans, as well as ideas that expand beyond the status quo. The zine aims to be inclusive,
welcoming and celebratory of the expansive kaleidoscope of individuals and experiences that exist, particularly keeping in mind systems of privilege and oppression. Contributors from diverse backgrounds of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status and disability/ability identity come together to share poetry, paintings, collage, prose, narrative stories, and simple thoughts or ideas in this zine. I also create two zines that are just my own work, one of which is an art zine 100% of photography and drawing/painting, and another of which is called "Tangent" which jumps from a whole zine made from a political argument between two friends, to meandering thoughts on subjects like crisis residential housing facilities and homeless rights.
*At times, there may be writing or art that is triggering, due to the nature of some topics included in this zine, such as discussions of racism, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, r**e culture, ableism, classism and so on. I hope you, the reader, will understand why these topics must be kept visible and relevant, AND I invite you to give feedback at [email protected] of any nature, positive, negative or anywhere in between. I am also always on the lookout for new contributors, so please use this email for the purpose of inquiries as well.
