14 proposed new states, Ogbomoso to get capital of new Oyo state Hon Alaó Akala Proposed.
There are indications that the House of Representatives would consider proposals for the creation of new state

The bill, which has scaled the first reading is also proposing the reduction of local government areas in Ogun, Oyo and Osun states.

Also, the member representing Ogbomoso North/ Ogbomoso South/ Oriire Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, has equally sponsored a bill for the creation of Ibadan and Oyo states.

According to the bill, which is seeking an alteration of the First Schedule of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) to accommodate the two new states, the proposed Ibadan State will have Ibadan as its capital, while Ogbomoso being the second most biggest, most populated and most economically viable town just after Ibadan will serve as the capital of the new Oyo State.

The bills, for the creation of new states, which have passed through the first reading in the House, are currently awaiting second reading, during which the general principles will be debated. If the bills scale the second reading, they will be referred to the Special Committee on Review of the Constitution for further legislative actions.

Apart from the constitution alteration bills, documents obtained by Daily Sun indicate that different interest groups have also submitted memoranda for the creation of Kainji, Apa, Lagoon, Ala, Amana, Okun, Katagum, and Benue Ala states to the Constitution Review Committee.

The proponents of the creation of Kanji, want it carved out of the present Kebbi and Niger states. While the proposed Apa, Okun and Katagum states are to be carved out of Benue, Kogi and Bauchi states.

Similarly, there are also proposals for the creation of Benue Ala from the present Benue State; Lagoon State from the present Lagos State, and Amana State from the existing Adamawa and Benue states.

When contacted, the chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Akin Rotimi Jnr, said the House would consider every bill and memoranda bordering on the review of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

*The Story of How and why Dele Giwa was assassinated with a parcel* Forwarded as received
The story of Dele Giwa will not be well understood if the story of Gloria Okon, Nigeria’s Most Controversial Female Drug Smuggler is not told. On the 22nd of April, 1985, the National Security Organization (NSO) arrested a 35-year-old lady named Gloria Okon at the Aminu Kano International airport for smuggling substances suspected to be he**in and other kinds of hard drugs. She was about to leave Nigeria for England when she was caught with 56.70 grammes of the substances, 301 dollars, 60 pounds sterling, N20,000 and 19,000 Italian lira. The news of Gloria Okon’s apprehension flooded both local and international media. Nigerians were eager to know her fate because then, Decree no. 20 of the Buhari military junta declared anyone caught with hard drugs punishable by death. But on April 28, 1985, six days after Gloria Okon was arrested, she died in a very mysterious and controversial manner while in custody. The medical report stated that the cause of her death was food poisoning. It was said that she didn’t show any sign of illness when arrested until a day after. Customs officer who kept Gloria Okon in custody said that on the day she was arrested, she requested for rice and beans and she was given, and later she started complaining then died. Before her death, she was interrogated but refused to talk. She only left a very slim clue; she mentioned the name Bassey but without a second name which dragged the investigation to a dead end. none of Gloria Okon’s relatives showed up to claim her co**se and that further shed light on the dark part of the saga. After Babangida removed Buhari from power, Gani Fawehinmi, a prolific Nigerian lawyer, set to revive the investigation of Gloria Okon’s case but ended up crashing into the walls of Haliru Akilu and Kunle Togun, top security agents of Gen. Ibrahim Babangida. In the absence of no conclusion on Gloria Okon’s case, several speculatio

THE HISTORY OF OGBOMOSHO TOWN.

The town of Ogbomoso lies between Ilorin and Oyo Town in the south western region of Nigeria. The town was founded in the mid-17th century by Ogunlola, a brave hunter of Ibariba descent. History has it that Ogunlola migrated to the present site of Ogbomoso around 1650 in pursuit of his hunting career. He arrived at the site which was then a dense jungle with his wife named Esuu and together they camped beneath an ajagbon tree which can still be seen today near the Soun’s palace. Later on, Ogunlola and his wife built a hut near the tree and settled there permanently.
Shortly after they settled in the jungle, Ogunlola noticed that smoke emit daily from nearby places. He decided to check the places out and to his surprise, he discovered that four other hunters were also dwelling in the jungle. The first hunter was a Nupe elephant hunter named Aale who camped in a place now known as Oke-Elerin (Elephant Hill). The second was an Otta prince named Onisile who left his town because of title dispute, he settled in a place now known as Ijeru. The third hunter was Orisatolu who camped at Isapa and the last hunter settled at Akande which no longer exist. Ogunlola established his dominance over the four hunters with his unmatched hunting skills and the help of his wife, Esuu, who was very good at making to***co s***f and guinea corn-wine which the hunters liked so much.
Ogunlola and the hunters formed a society called Alongo with the aims of protecting the settlement from slave raiders, hunting wild animals together, helping one another and so on. The settlement began to expand as people moved in till it became a village. Ogunlola gradually became the head of the new village as his hut became the administrative center where important issues were discussed, and a court where disputes were settled.
History of Ogbomoso

The history of Ogbomoso has it that Ogunlola was later imprisoned at Oyo-Ile, the capital of the old Oyo empire,

THE TRUE HISTORY OF ILORIN

Hundreds of years ago, there was a forest called Oko-Erin, there were many elephants in this bush, that was why it is called Oko-Erin [elephant forest], only the brave and powerful hunters live in this forest. Òjó Oníṣekúṣe [Ojo the promiscuous], who was from Ijesha, was the first hunter to arrive Oko-Erin he was a brave and powerful hunter. Ẹ̀mìńlá from Ìlá- Ọ̀ràngún also came and met Òjó Oníṣekúṣe in this forest; he was a powerful hunter too.

Both Òjó Oníṣekúṣe and Ẹ̀mìńlá do not live at Oko-Erin, they only hunt for a while and return to their family. Ọláderin arrived Oko-Erin after Ẹ̀mìńlá and Òjó Oníṣekúse. Ọláderin has a hut in this forest; he was the leader of all the elephant hunters at the time and he was the first settler at Oko-Erin. He was from Oyo Alaafin. Whenever his co-hunters returns from hunting, they took some rest at Oladerin’s hut, Oladerin was so powerful that both humans, elephants, and other animals fear him. Laderin has a big pot of concoctions, when he enters this pot, he can turn into any type of animal he desires. That was why he was referred to as Ola di erin[Oladerin.] There was a stone used for sharpening their machetes at Oladerin’s hut, whenever their machetes got blunt; they took it to Oladerin’s hut to sharpen it on this particular stone. while heading to Oladerin’s hut to sharpen their machete, if anybody asks them where they are going, they would say “mò ń lọ lọ irin mi lọ́dọ̀ọ Láderin” [I want to go and sharpen my machete at Laderin’s place] they used to call this stone Ìlọ irin [a sharpener]Ilorin derived its name from this stone.

The stone they used for sharpening their machetes is still at Bámidélé house in Ilorin today. Ojo onisekuse was said to have fled Oko-Erin because of his promiscuity, he was fond of sleeping with his daughter and family, and this act is forbidden when he was caught, he had to flee Oko-Erin. Eminla went back to Ila-Orangun, while Ojo onisekuse fled to Ojoku near Offa where

The Origin of the use of “Iyawo”- the Yoruba Word for Wife

The beauty of the Yoruba culture lies in their ability to give names to people, places, or objects, and the use of literary expressions for these characters, especially when it is about their stories in the past. Just like they have names like “Ajike, Abeke, Alake, Alao, Akanni, Adunni, etc.,” which each has its story and meaning, they also have names for objects or activities like “Ilari (cutting comb), owo (broom), Igbeyawo (wedding), ajo (thrift), etc.

The same way there is a Yoruba word for “husband,” which is “Oko,” is the same way they call “Aya” as “wife.” However, in comparison to “Iyawo,” the frequently used and acceptable word for wife in Yorubaland, the word “Aya,” which also means wife, is underused among the Yoruba people of Western Nigeria. It’s interesting to note that other Nigerian society members are now using the term “Iyawo.” Iyawo has been used in several regions, especially in the West, to describe a newlywed.

In the past, when a husband wanted to call his wife, he would say “aya mi,” but in recent times, husbands, including the families of both parties and even friends, now call it “Iyawo or Iyawo wa.” In other words, people were not familiar with “Iyawo” until an incident happened in Yoruba history.

In this piece, I will be revealing the origin of the Yoruba word “Iyawo” and how it became a popular word to date.

Origin

Once upon a time, a highly attractive princess and the first monarch of Iwo Town in ancient Yorubaland, Wuraola, was looking for a patient, understanding, and affectionate spouse. In the past, ambitious and diligent suitors like Sango and Ogun travelled to Iwo town to make marriage proposals to Wuraola. Unfortunately, neither Wuraola nor a cordial engagement with her was bestowed upon them.

History has it that Wuraola had insulted and cursed her suitors, forcing them all to leave the village of Iwo on the same day they arrived because they couldn’t stand her terr

S*X is sweet but there's POISON in between the legs!!
A man who can control his sexual urge is a man who can live many years on earth. Men don't know that some of their downfalls are caused by MULTIPLE girlfriends. Not every girl has a good spirit. Some are demons, some has poison in between their legs.
Some women are destiny destroyers; becareful.
1. Do not obey your Er****on at all times. Most Er****ons mislead you to wrong direction. Control your er****on if you don't want to to have few days on earth with much poverty on you.
2. Don't date a lady because she has sexy curves, b***s and shapes. Those things are just deceptive avoid such, don't fall for what is called the irony of social media.
3. It is not everything you see under skirt that you should hustle to eat, some skirts contain snakes that will bite you and leave you uncomfortable. Control your sexual urge. Self control and abstinence in most cases pays a lot.
4. Having many girlfriends doesn't make you a man. It only makes you a womanizer, a cheat, sinner and a boy.
5. For the fact that you are good in bed doesn't make you a man. A real Man is the man who does not run from his responsibility but faces it squarely.
6. Respect any lady that loves you. Yes, it is not easy for a lady to throw her love on you and support your future.
7. The world celebrates successful men. Nobody will celebrate you for having many girlfriends. Therefore what is the benefit? Waste of energy, money and waste of S***m.
Remember, being honest, loyal and faithful that's the TRADEMARK of a REAL MAN.

History Of Akinjole Ogiriniyan The Founder Of Ejigbo Land

Ejigbo is a major Yoruba town in Osun State of Nigeria. It is about 40 kilometres (25 mi) to Oshogbo, the capital of Osun State.

According to oral history, Ejigbo is an ancient settlement. It was founded by Akinjole Ogiyan (abbreviation of "Ogiriniyan"), right after the old

Oyo . Ogiyan has a rich pedigree, as a descendant of Oduduwa and the ruling family of Ile-Ife . Together with his brothers, particularly the Akire, the founder of Ikire-Ile, left Ile life with Oranya ( Oranmiyan ) – the founder of old Oyo, to establish their own town.

The fact that the Ogiyan is from Ile-Ife, is confirmed by "Ejigbo Mekun" the name of a market in Ile-Ife. Akinjole settled many other villages spread around Yorubaland. He was the paramount ruler and prescribed authority over many if not all of them.

The following towns and villages, among others, were under him: Ika, Igbon, Olosinmo, Ologede, Inisa, Aato, Ijimoba, Afake, Ilawo, Inisa Edoro, Isundunrin, Olla, Ado Ori-Oke, Ayegunle, Idigba, Ibogunde, Songbe, Olorin, Osuntedo and Iwata.

Around 1835, Ejigbo came under Ibadan, when the Ibadan army moved to protect Osogbo from Ilorin invaders. In fact, detachments from Ejigbo assisted the Ibadan army in the Osogbo, Ijaye, Jalumi , Off, and Kiriji wars between 1840 and 1866. Ajayi Ogboriefon , Balogun and leader of the Ibadan army in the Jalumi war circa 1860 and 1878 was native of Ejigbo from the Akala compound. His mother, Alagbabi, was the daughter of an Ogiyan of Ejigbo . In 1934, when the then government returned to the terms of the 1893 Treaty, which recognized Ibadan's independence and gazettes of the Baale and Divisional Council of Ibadan as an Independent Native Authority, five district obas , including the Ogiyan, were made members of the divisional Council.

The Ogiyan and council were also gazetted as subordinated to Native Authority under Ibadan for Ejigbo District Council. Although changes were made enlarging th

1. Ooni of Ife – Ogboru

Ogboru is 19th century Ooni of Ife dethroned mischievously by Ife Palace Chiefs who got tired of his 70yrs long reign. He was deceived by trick to come out of his place to come and see something at the Atiba square of the ancient Ile-Ife town and wasn’t allowed to return to the palace again. He angrily left for another aboard where he founded a little town called Ife-Odan and he settled there. Successive Ooni of Ife like 6 installed after him died in succession under 6months like a sort of throne bewitchment and Ife Chiefs had to search for him at Ife Odan to return back, but he resisted the attempt and gave them his daughter Moropo to make some sacrifices at the palace after which his son Giessi became the next Ooni after him.

2. Emir of Bauchi – Umar Mohammed

Mohammed was deposed on 16th of February, 1902 by Lord luggard’s second in command – William Wallace for an allegation of slave dealings and insubordination against the British government and misrule of his people. His son was installed as the new Emir.

3. Emir of Kano Aliyu Ibn Abdullahi Maje Karofi

He became the Emir of Kano in 1894 following the death of Emir Muhammad Bello, and a rebellion war of “Bassa” called the 3rd Kano Civil War was kickstarted by him, along with his elder brother, Yusuf when the Sultan of Sokoko announced another prince called Tukur as the new Emir of Kano. The war lasted for a year when Aliyu popularly called the Sango of zaki (the gun runner) or Ali Balads, for his heavy use of explosives in most wars conquered Kano and became the Emir in 1894. He was dethroned in 1903 following an homage visit to the Sultan in Sokoto when the British -French forces attacked Kano and brought an end to his reign. He first exiled to Yola and later Lokoja, the seat of new Northern Nigerian government where he died in 1926.
