Hi all,

DO YOU REMEMBER GAY 2 GAY?

We’ve been approached by Candle and Bell, an award-winning film company based in Gateshead, who are working on a new script for a dramatisation on LGBT+ life in the late 80s/early 90s and they’d love to talk to those who were involved with Wear FM or tuned in to Gay 2 Gay as a fan.

Here’s the brief we’ve been asked to post:

Who do we want to hear from?

We are looking for a range of people to come forward and share their stories with us.
Did you work at Wear FM?
Maybe you were an avid listener and fan of Gay 2 Gay.
Did you have a request read out by Sadie or Mega Sal?
Maybe you knew Mega Sal, Sadie, Lavernne and the other presenters on the show?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please get in touch with us using the information below.

How will we conduct interviews?

We will conduct research interviews however best suits you! We can meet in person, we can chat over the phone, or we can schedule a video call. So wherever you are in the world, if you have something to share about Wear FM and Gay 2 Gay, we want to hear from you.

What will you do with the research?

All Reseach will be confidential, and it won’t be shared with anyone outside the project team. It will be kept secure and never be shared publicly.

The research will be used to inform the project we’re working on but we won’t use anyone’s story without their permission.
