We sat down for a conversation with Troy Bennett of the BDN about our new film that's set (and shot) in and around Portland, Maine. As most conversations nowadays about the city go, things turned to housing and nostalgia for times past.

Jeff Griecci and Ian Carlsen said "Nice People" is their love letter to a city where neither of them can afford to live anymore.

Six years ago Mint Films embarked on a series of short films inspired by the people of Portland Maine. The result is NICE PEOPLE, five interconnected Maine tales about people suffering from kindness. It's funny, bitter, sad, and (mostly) very real.

Speaking of kindness, this film would not be possible without the kindness of many people, who hung with us through many weekends, and the long post process. Thank you.

We are submitting to festivals in 2023, and excited to bring you news of our World Premiere by early Spring.
